  • Still ISO creative writing day camp for tweens after mid-July

My 5th grader has been doing an after school workshop online with Writopia and he loves it. I know they have various options for the summer (including some in-person), so i would recommend checking them out. The website is sometimes confusing, they they are very responsive and helpful if you email.

  • Review from 2015 Summer Camp Survey

Age of Child: 11 Likes: The camp is in a beautiful location, on a lake where the Poconos meet the Catskills. The campers spend the morning in small writing workshops run by Writopia Lab instructors, and the rest of the day in their choice of traditional summer camp activities: swimming and boating, arts and crafts, performing arts, yoga, sports. There were campfires, scavenger hunts, and talent shows. It draws a nice mix of creative kids, and the writing workshop is high quality. On the last day, there are readings by all the workshops, and each kid presents some of his or her work to fellow campers and visiting parents. What would you change? "The eggs." Would you send your child(ren) again? Yes Do you recommend? Highly recommend Do you have any other information to add?
