  • Wortspiele preschool - parents experience?

Likewise. We started at KH, moved to Wortspiele for 2 years. Our son loooooooved it and we felt very supported during this transition and throughout the years. (December 2019)
  • Wortspiele preschool - parents experience?

Yes our daughter is at Wortspiele since 2 years. We love it. She was at Kinderhaus prior to that. (December 2019)
  • Wortspiele preschool - parents experience?

I'm not sure if this is relevant for you at this point, but our son started at Wortspiele in the 2s program in September and we like it a lot. The teachers are great and we appreciate the Montessori approach. And our son loves it, too. (December 2019)
  • 2019-2020 Year Review

We are a dual language family, and this school is wonderful for parents trying to support dual language. The teachers are so thoughtful and well trained, I would send my kids there - and have my second in the twos program. … About the facility: Has early morning hours … What would you change? I would make their space larger and with outdoor space.
  • Review submitted via the 2014-2015 daycare/preschool survey

This member has reviewed this facility in a prior year (see review directly below this one) Length of time: 3 half days Child’s Age: 2-3 years Type of facility: Private, small daycare/playschool experience run out of a person's home with a very small number of childrenThere is little/no parental involvement with the administration or running of the facility. REVIEW: Our son has had a wonderful experience at this lovely little preschool. The teachers are extremely caring and helped make the transition very easy. The program is a mixed-age Montessori class with lots of emphasis on community. We have been very happy with how he has developed there - sharing, listening, playing nicely with other kids, not to mention with how his German has come along as well. Would you recommend? Highly recommend Would you send your child again? Absolutely
  • Review from the 2014 Daycare/Preschool Survey

Length of Time: Part Day, 3 days a week Child's Age: 2-3 years Review: Wortspiele is a small (12 child) German-immersion preschool located on the ground floor of a brownstone in Crown Heights, where children ages 2-4 are together in one class (with the 2-year-olds leaving early). The teachers are strict in the sense that they have very high expectations for the children, but the environment is warm and loving, with the children really taking ownership of the classroom. My child did not have as much German as some of his classmates, but he has adapted well and truly looks forward to going to school. The director regularly sends out updates and photos and is fairly quick to respond to email questions and concerns. We are extremely happy with the choice we made, but the hours are short and there is no after care available, so we need to continue to employ our nanny full time. Recommend (Hi/Rec/DoNot): Recommend Would you send your child again? Absolutely
