  • Review from the 2024 Summer Camp Survey

Location: Boerum Hill REVIEW: Depending on child's age the camp is located in two school locations. We chose this camp since they seemed to have fun weekly field trips (examples like Legoland, Medieval Times, etc). that happened every Friday and the previous days were centered around the theme/tied to the field trip with activities that were in-school and outdoor water play. Big plus was that this camp provided all meals/snacks. My child seemed to enjoy the camp and they were able to share daily pictures in the app. CHANGES: One thing I would change is that there's very little interaction with real people at the camp. Communications are limited to email as leading up to camp didn't get a sense that it would be easy to call anyone over the phone. They have an app you use to sign in/out every day which is fine but there is only one person at the front desk who brings child up or down at end of day so you never really see any other camp counselors/adults. Also, small thing but they ask that child wear the camp shirt every day (2 are provided for free w/more for purchase) but I would prefer if they let children where what they want and only have to wear the camp shirt on field trips (as laundry was a bit of a hassle). DETAILS: Age of child; 5 … Weeks attended: 2
  • Summer camps for 2s

We did World Explorers for a few weeks in August for my daughter (who turned 2 in July) and she had a blast! It’s near Fort Greene Park. They provide meals and have different themes for each week of camp. And you pay and sign up for individual weeks at a time, which was nice for us since we didn’t need coverage for the entire month.
  • Review from the 2023 Summer Camp Survey

Location: Fort Green How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? Turning four Review: Camp was great and our son loved it. The adults were extremely caring. The whole organization was very well run. The children had a wonderful time together. Our son was delighted to go each day and always in a good mood when we picked him up. What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? The younger kids don’t go on many field trips—we look forward to next year when they will do more Would you like to add anything related to COVID and how the camp handled it? Nothing in particular. We were comfortable.
  • Review from the 2023 Summer Camp Survey

Location: Ft Greene How old was your child when they attended camp this summer? 4 Review: E attended the camp during the summer weeks we were in the city. He attends Broojklyn Explorers for preschool and we highly recommend the school and the camp (Clubhouse age level). The teachers are great and E especially loves Water Wednesday. Also, they are right next to Ft Greene park so they go there once a day.
  • School Break Camps

We've been sending our four year old to World Explorers School Break Camp and it's been great (love that they go to museums and the gardens!)
