  • Looking for extra wide kid shoes?

Windsor Shoes - Children’s Store has lots of wide shoes and boots. They are great with sizing and giving you a clear sense of what will work.
  • Kids shoe store with foot measuring service?

Anyway, second the recommendation for Windsor Shoes (they definitely do sizing there). We get all our kids’ shoes there and they are really good at finding shoes that are a fit for your particular kid’s feet (the numerical size is not the whole story). Incredibly patient also.
  • Kids shoe store with foot measuring service?

Windsor Shoes is the best kids shoe shop in the area though.
  • Wide feet and shoe discomfort

Our son had similar issues with wide feet and searching for shoes. A PSP parent recommended going to Windsor Shoes to get sized. So far that is working out because his size was bigger than we thought and he was able to find something comfortable both times we have gone there.
  • ISO: Shoe Store for Toddlers

Second the recommendation for Windsor Shoes. They have a great selection.
  • ISO: Shoe Store for Toddlers

We love Windsor Shoes on 5th Ave and maybe 12th ish and Running Wild on Court Street.
  • Windsor Shoes fits toddler feet- and more

The new and much bigger kids’ location of Windsor Shoes is open now, FYI. Right next door to their old space on 5th Ave between 11th and 12th. While I really miss the awesome yogurt shop that used to be there, I also really like the larger kids shoe store. Their selection has really expanded, and it feels COVID-safer with the extra space. I just bought my 7yo a new pair today and they were helpful as always.
  • Shoe store for fitting toddler feet?

Windsor Shoes on 5th Ave. They have mostly Stride Rite and Sketchers for littles, and my kids don't fit those well, so we usually go to Cobble Hill, but they're also super helpful (the PPW store is closing while the 5th Ave one is expanding).
  • "Extra wide" warm boots/shoes for 6 year old

Have you gone to Windsor shoes yet? They specialize in wide widths for kids shoes. “Windsor too” is just kids stuff. There’s a 5th Ave location and 2 ppw locations. I’ve been burned many a time trying to order shoes online for my daughter. It’s so much better to have someone measure and try on lots of options. They have striderite in extra wide sizes and other brands in wide sizes.
  • shoe store for baby's first shoes?

Check out Windsor Shoes on 5th ave and 11th street. They have a great selection of shoes (especially for toddlers/kids) and were very patient when measuring my daughters feet.
  • Windsor Shoes Kids sneaker store recommendation in the neighborhood

We are longtime fans and also love their location on 5th Avenue between 11-12. Went a few weeks ago and masks are required and they are limiting the number of shoppers. It was so great to have my kids fit in person after such a long time!
  • Windsor Shoes Kids sneaker store recommendation in the neighborhood

Hi Neighbors- Windsor Shoes has a dedicated children’s shoe and sneaker store two doors down from 233 PPW. Both are long-time owned and operated by a family that fits good footwear well for children and adults. Highly recommended
  • Windsor Shoes-Best supportive & stylish walking sandals for adults

And they fit children’s shoes and sneakers beautifully, too, at their children’s shoe shop a few doors down. Windsor Shoes 233 P.P.W. & Windsor Place
  • Any shoe stores open selling kids' sneakers?

Windsor Shoes on 5th Ave and 11th St is also open. We were there today. They only let a few ppl in the store at a time, everyone wore masks, and we found some great shoes!
  • Any shoe stores open selling kids' sneakers?

Windsor Shoes on Prospect Park West ! We had a great experience. We tried the shoes on outside - that was about two weeks ago - not sure what their procedures are now. It helps a lot if you have a sneaker in mind as at the time there was no browsing. They did measure my son’s feet outside.
  • Where to buy toddler winter boots?

Windsor Shoes (both locations) are patient and helpful with toddler shoe / boot trying on.
  • first shoes

I second Windsor Shoes. They have locations on 5th Ave and PPW and they have a customer loyalty program. If you buy 10 pairs you get a pair free. (This is very easy to do with kids....). They have a big selection and are family owned and local and will help with sizing and fit. We go there for just about all of our shoes.
  • first shoes

Windsor Shoes is the "old school" shoe store you're looking for! We got first & second shoes there. Stride Rites & then a Merrell for this summer. Love the service.
  • Place to try on and buy first walking shoes

Windsor shoes on Prospect Park West btwn 16th & Windsor is great. They measure my boys at each visit and will make suggestions if you need help picking something. They have two stores on the block, one for kids and further down the block is for adults.
  • Walking shoes recommendations for tiny feet toddlers

I can highly recommend Windsor Shoes Too on Prospect Park West in Windsor Terrace. It’s worth the trip if you’re not nearby. They have great inventory and the staff are very involved and knowledgeable. They’ll measure, recommend, and patiently handle an uncooperative toddler as he/she tries on several pairs of shoes.

  • Recs for best baby shoes

We have had good luck at Windsor Shoes Too - reviewed here: http://www.achildgrows.com/kids-shoe-time-in-the-slope/ They also have some kind of buy 10 get one free program, but we have not cashed that in yet!
  • Recs for best baby shoes

We've always liked Windsor Shoes. They have a program that if you buy 9 pairs, the tenth is free, or something like that. No affiliation. You might ask your pediatrician what type of shoes they recommend at 10 months. I think our first shoes were Robees, but I can't recall if they were sufficient for outdoors in winter.

We also got all my son's stride rites at windsor shoes -- not only do they offer a free pair of shoes after you buy 10 - but now they offer PSP members a discount, too! September 2012

I second eneslow, but closer to home is a shoe store just South of bartle Prichard circle On PPW around Windsor place. Don't know the no, it's on the north east Corner. I just bought two Laura of dansko sandals there-which I've been wearing Exclusively (that brand) since my First pregnancy almost 7 yrs ago, And they had other comfortable brands too. Naot, people like, and walked or something... It's a great store and I like supporting local specialty Shops like this!

Hi - Windsor Shoes on PPW and Windsor Place has a large selection of great and comfortable shoes! Good luck!
  • May, 2012

Come to Windsor Shoes on Prospect Park West and Windsor Place, they've got those plus anything else people will recommend. The owners are exTREMEly knowledgable (those run small, those I'm getting complaints from customers, those are not as well made as this model by the same brand, this is a new idea in how they've designed the arch). I'm delighted to have a Comfortable Shoe store in my neighb.

The place to buy sneakers or any kind of good shoes for your kid is Windsor Shoes at 233 PPW, 718-369-2192, just on the other side of the circle. They have a good selection and are very helpful and patient. Remember to ask about their frequent buyer program too, I think they are still doing that. They are great and sell quality, well known brands.

The store feels a little cramped on a weekend ( we were there around noon on a Saturday), but service was still great and quick and we were in and out in no time. They seemed to have a good selection of Geo, Naturino, Stride Rites, Tevia, Merrells, etc... (September, 2010).

Windsor Shoes is great! Their kids store is in the middle of the block -- Windsor Too -- and their adult store is on the corner of Windsor. Lovely, patient people work there. They also have a frequent buyer program -- the 11th pair is free. From a parent who bought dozens of pairs there for her now-17-&-19 year olds when they were little. (September 2010).

Don't forget that when you buy shoes at either Windsor Shoes location (kid or adult), save the receipt and you get a free pair of shoes for every 10 you buy!!! (Recommended April 2010)
