Looking for Contractor Recommendations
I would highly recommend Dylans Restoration and its principal, Willian Rivera. Willy was our rescue contractor when our original contractor on a whole-house gut renovation bailed (taking some of our money) during covid. Willy finds practical solutions to problems, works incredibly hard (as does his crew), is entirely trustworthy, and is an absolute pleasure to deal with (his whole crew are; you know you've got a good crew when the neighbors make frequent positive comments about them--and then hire the company themselves, as more than one of our neighbors did). I think his rates are reasonable. We paid him on a time and materials basis--something you might want to consider, given that you're operating on a "how far can we get with what we've got" basis.Recommendation—Renovation Contractor

He was our rescue contractor for a gut-renovation of a townhouse (after another had walked away from a job far from finished and with some of our money as well!). Willy and his crew applied their high level of skills, their problem-solving abilities, and an approach of hard work and easy-going relationships that even our neighbors commented on.
