Review from the Spring 2023 Birthing Survey
What month and year was your child born? Feb 2023 Review: Nice facilities Anything you advise people to do (or not do) at this hospital/birthing center? Anything pandemic related that could be helpful to them? Doctors & nurses are great - I knew I was in good hands. But there was no opportunity to relax, sleep for more than an hour or have private moments after the birth of my son. People came in non-stop, around the clock. After strongly asking for private time, some random man still came barging in while I was topless to collect the hazmat bin. I also felt bullied by the lactation consultants & largely attribute not breast feeding to how scaring that experience was & how badly I needed to sleep once I got out of the hospital. I couldn’t wait to get home.OB recommendation
Seconding Dr. Faris and the other doctors in the practice at 40 Worth Street (it's a Weill Cornell practice). Dr. Pena was my official OB (and she is wonderful), but I rotated with all four of the doctors there and I found all of them to be thoughtful, kind, sympathetic, and knowledgeable. Dr. Fong ended up doing my c-section and she was terrific too. I actually miss seeing all of them!Need OB referrals
Take a look at Weill Cornell Primary Care Tribeca. Their team of OBs is great and they deliver at NYP LM. Dr. Fridel delivered my first, and Dr. Fong was the on-call when I was in labor. I’ve had other appointments with them both and really like them. My primary OB has been Dr. Peña, but she recently went on maternity leave.
