Review from the 2019 PSP Daycare, Preschool Survey
We got our daughter into pre-k at Warren St relatively late in the day, but we have been so so glad we did! It is such a warm, friendly, diverse community and she has developed so much through being there. She has been able to explore a range of activities and learned a lot through playing. Her class is small and she seems to have really benefited from doing this pre-k year in a small, informal center. Her teacher has been excellent, and parents of the teacher in the other pre-k class are also hugely enthusiastic. Specialist art and music teachers also seem great. The space isn’t fancy but it’s extremely clean and well maintained. I can’t recommend Warren St enough. DETAILS: Has outdoor space, Has afterschool options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals What you would change: Perhaps more of the day spent outdoors and more space for parental involvement:Carroll Gardens / Cobble Hill Daycare Recs
My daughter is currently at pre-k in the Warren St Center for Children and Families https://www.greatschools.org/new-york/brooklyn/9817-Warren-Street-Center/. I think they look after babies from around 12 months, but I’m not completely sure. We ended up there by accident as we moved here after the deadline for applications, and had to go where there was a spot, but we can’t believe how lucky we’ve been. Her teacher and the whole staff are lovely. It doesn’t look fancy but it is such a warm, caring environment and is really well organised. She has learned and developed so much there. It’s also right by Bergen St station so super convenient. I know parents with younger children there who also seem to love it.Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey
It's a really sweet school with monthly themes that the children love. All food is cooked onsite and my daughter loves it. The kids play a lot, parents are always welcomed into the classroom and the pre-k teachers are very patient and encouraging. My daughter has grown a lot this year, especially in imaginative play, and the school really fosters that! About the facility: Has afterschool options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals, Across the street from the park. What would you change? I love it and I've recommended it to several friends who also love it!
