Disposing expired medicine

My local Walgreens (Beverly Rd/Church Ave) has a bin for disposing of unused/expired drugs. They don't take liquids, ointments, etc. but any kind of pills. I imagine other Walgreens stores or other pharmacies may have something similar.

I have been relying on Walgreens photo and it works really well, with same day pick-up for traditional sizes and mail-in option for unusual ones.

I actually had an amazing experience at the Walgreens on Prospect Avenue about 6 weeks ago. Their computer has all different passport requirements from dozens of countries built into it. The operator just picked the one we needed and then followed the instructions.
