  Dr. McClelland is wonderful--communicative, great bedside manner, calm, knowledgable, evidence based and very pro lowering C-Section rates. I felt like I was in great care from day 1 and my labor and delivery went so much better than I expected. He's very good at managing patients through labor and even made the experience enjoyable with his kind and witty demeanor. He always promptly returns any calls and is available to answer questions in between appointments.

  NY Midtown OBGYN is amazing. Specifically Dr. W. Spencer McClelland. He is pragmatic, kind, supportive, and respectful. I gave birth at the age of 40 and never once did I ever feel like I was a "geriatric" pregnant person. I always felt like everything was explained clearly. He bases his guidance on science from today and not from decades or even centuries ago. Specifically, I was allowed to have a glass of wine here and there; I was allowed to eat all the cheeses (except maybe cotija); I could eat sushi (but avoided tuna/yellowtail); coffee in moderation. In general, Dr. McClelland did not want me to change my life completely. I'm a runner and was encouraged to run as long as it felt comfortable- which for me was up until month 8.
