Unequivocally: Vickie Fernandez Wint. Absolutely extraordinary. Had a profound positive impact on my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. She continues to be a friend and trusted advisor. Reach out if I can answer any specific questions.Reccomendation for a post-partum doula
Love Vicki Wint! Highly recommend: https://www.nurturedbeginningspostpartum.com/Review from the Spring 2023 Birthing Survey
What month and year was your child born? August 2022 Review: Vickie was a thoughtful and supportive doula who was a great presence to have in the delivery room! She encouraged me to advocate for myself when I was feeling unsure about one of the providers, and to follow up with nurses and residents when I had questions. She made suggestions in a very non-pressure way and was quick to take cues from me and ask what I wanted. It was great to have her support.Review from the Spring 2023 Birthing Survey
What month and year was your child born? September 2022 Review: This was my second time working with Vickie (so that's an endorsement right there). She is a great calming, grounding presence and really easy/fun to talk to, very knowledgeable and personable. Any advice for people who are considering using a birth doula? I found having a birth doula invaluable for both births. Even though I had done it once, each pregnancy/birth is different so I feel it is worth it to always have one if you can/want.Centering Pregnancy?
Yes! We worked with an incredible doula who created a doula group that met weekly via Zoom — and this has created a terrific community of parents who were delivering around the same time as us. It’s continued to be very valuable postpartum. https://www.vickiewint.com/homepage Can’t recommend her highly enough!Doula reccs
Highly recommend Vickie Wint if you're due after April 2023: https://www.vickiewint.com/ She was my doula in February of this year - she's incredible! Her support throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum was more than I could have ever expected. Honestly I don't know what I would have done without her and my partner. Her rate is listed on her website.Review from the Summer 2022 Birthing Survey
Birth Doula: Vickie Fernandez-Wint What month and year was your child born? May 2022 Review: Open-minded doula who was fully supportive of my desire to have various interventions as part of my birth plan (scheduled induction, epidural). As part of her practice, she offers a virtual prenatal support group weekly which was an amazing resource and great way to meet other birthing people.birth doula recommendation
I loved my doula, Vickie and her partner Francesca. They live and work from Brooklyn. I gave birth at NYU in May and she was in person. I loved the prenatal care, in person birth support, and even now I go to their post natal stretch and yoga classes! I highly recommend and am so appreciative of their support and expertise during a crazy time. Also the postpartum lactation consultation was so key, even though this was my third child I’ve breastfed. I was really needing that care and lactation expertise postpartum, specifically with a clogged duct. Good luck and congrats ☺️ISO: In-person doula for Jan 2022
Seconding the recommendation for Vickie and Francesca! They are both wonderful humans and they go above & beyond with their support. They do a weekly pregnancy support group on Zoom for before you have the baby, and Vickie runs a weekly new mother’s support group for after you give birth, which I am in now. I delivered at Alexandra Cohen with them in early July. Francesca was with me for the birth and she is so calming. My birth this time was very fast (second baby) so I didn’t need as much support from her but I so wish I’d had them both my first time around (I had a cheaper and less experienced doula and she was lovely but this experience is great). Vickie set up a what’s app group too so the "spring summer moms" are constantly messaging each other. I love all the moms I’ve met and we are becoming fast friends and supporting each other a lot. Francesca also does post natal stretch and strength class weekly. And they do a monthly group for the partners, expecting and after the baby arrives which may husband does and it is great too. I found them because I wanted someone who also offered support groups/therapy and Francesca trained at CIIS (in CA). I am a therapist and I know a few people who teach there / trained there and they have a very holistic philosophy, which appeals to me. Really I can’t recommend them highly enough.ISO: In-person doula for Jan 2022

Vickie Wint, my doula, has my whole-hearted recommendation. Our story is on her website. www.vickiewint.comBaby Nurse AND Post Partum Doula
The warmest, kindest, wisest doula, for postpartum as well as delivery, is Vickie Wint. I wasn’t sure I needed one, and it was the best decision I ever made. www.vickiewint.com
