  • Re: Organizer for move

We used urban clarity (Amanda Weiss) for the unpacking organizing part of the move. Highly recommend!! I probably should have used her team to declutter too
  • Shout Out: Urban Clarity Move Management

just had a fantastic experience with Urban Clarity who helped me with a very intense (aren't they all?) move. Highly recommend! 1. They held my hand every step of the way and I could not have been more pleased. I actually clicked on a PSP offer that they gave for one hour of free move planning and, after that, I was hooked. 2. Their whole team wrapped us up in a warm, organized, thoughtful, responsive, detail-oriented, resource-filled, blanket and kept us super-focussed on what we needed to accomplish from start to finish. 3. All their recommended vendors were excellent and they offered as much or little help as we needed with each (tedious, work-intensive, annoying, time-consuming, itch-inducing...) step of the move. 4. Then... THE BEST PART... they met the movers and did the unpacking! OMG, it was worth every penny. In this case I had to get help because I had a giant work project that conflicted with the move and my partner was out of town. However, I'm not sure (if we ever have to move again...) I would ever do it another way. Their team was understanding, patient, incredibly hardworking and they made great choices for us. I had so much stress about this whole move and coming in to see everything put away, organized, labelled and thought through - it was awesome and amazing. I just got a post-move sheet of ideas from them based on what they saw we needed in terms of organizational items and just general ways to deal with our new space. And they offered to come back and help me install stuff and follow up on any of their ideas. Just wanted to say that they made a super hard thing so much easier, better and less worry-filled.
  • Organization/Design Help (before 2nd baby)

I've worked with Urban Clarity before and they're wonderful. They're total pros and have some really good systems for making the best use of the space you have.
  • Home organizer for kitchen?

I’ve used urban clarity to help me re- organize my kitchen and suggest items from places like the container store. They helped me think through how I use the kitchen so things were in convenient spots and also helped design an IKEA pantry and gave me a company to help pick up and put it together when I was overwhelmed with moving in! Overall very pleased with their services and they are also a women owned and operated team local to Brooklyn.
  • ISO a Professional Organizer

I recommend Amanda Wiss at Urbanclarity.net. I used them twice to help me with moves for my elderly uncle and they were both efficient and compassionate during a tough process. I've also sent many clients to them for re-organizing rooms and offices. Many thumbs up for the team!

  • ISO Organizer to help with closets

Urban Clarity has worked with us a few times, most recently on our move, and they are amazing!
  • Moving companies?

hiring Urban Clarity to UNPACK us when we got to our new place. Honestly the best money we have ever spent, they got us unpacked and settled in a day and a half and made fantastic suggestions (and implemented them) for storage and organization.
  • ISO: Consultant to help with home organization & Storage

I have worked with Urban Clarity. (www.urbanclarity.net) owned by Amanda Wiss. It's a local group (Fort Greene based) and they do a terrific job. One of the organizers helped me with a very messy closet and room. I still remember her tips and use them frequently. One of their specialties is organizing people for a move.
  • 2018 Review

I hired Amanda from Urban Clarity (PSP recommendation) and she was great, gave me a lot of ideas that I could do myself in addition to suggesting or offering services where people could come and do things for you (like haul out old furniture, organize closets, etc)

  • Review of Urban Clarity - Amanda Wiss, Professional Organizer

Amanda Wiss and her team at Urban Clarity are amazing. I first started working with Amanda 5 years ago after a renovation. Completely overwhelmed with the prospect of unpacking while caring for my toddler, Amanda came in and got my apartment unpacked and organized. She does the dirty work - cleaning out, throwing out and sorting through. As the client, Urban Clarity offers you the chance to be as hands on as you want or can be, but they don't just give you suggestions and point to how things should be organized. They do the work! I also appreciated how much Amanda and her team believe in re- purposing items. When money was tight and we couldn't afford to buy tons of new storage systems, they found ways to use and reuse what we had on hand to organize our stuff. Most importantly, I love that Amanda and her team don't pass judgement. They approached my project objectively and didn't make me feel like my clutter and mess were a reflection on me and my life. My only regret is that I can't keep Amanda on staff. I wish I had her ability to keep things organized and can't wait to get her back into our home to begin the next clean out and organization project. I can't say enough good things about Urban Clarity. Give them a call. - PSP Member and Urban Clarity Client (March 2013)
  • Review of Amanda Wiss, Urban Clarity, Professional Organizers

I highly recommend Organizer Amanda Wiss of Urban Clarity. We moved to a smaller apartment with less storage several years ago, and of course, there's just an insane amount of stuff that comes with having a kid - plus I'm a bit 'organizationally-challenged', in the domestic arena, Amanda made a huge difference in my apartment with the first visit. She has helped me set up systems that work so that things don't devolve back to where they were. She also has great ideas to make the things I already own work better in the apartment, both functionally and aesthetically, so I didn't have to go and buy a bunch of new stuff, which I appreciate too. Hiring an organizer may seem expensive on the face of it, but changing your home environment so it serves you and your family better is something that you will enjoy every day.

I want to recommend Amanda Wiss of Urban Clarity - they did amazing stuff for us and we are hiring them for another job next week
  • Recommendation for Urban Clarity

I wanted to highly recommend Urban Clarity, personal organizers, who have radically changed how I live in my home! I have used them multiple times to tackle closets, kids’ toys, bedroom clutter and more, and if I had the money, would keep them on retainer full time. Amanda Wiss and her team are responsible, professional, warm, funny and extremely practical. They helped me unload 8 bags of clothing from my closet and have also very sensitively helped me deal with other people’s clutter (aka “treasures”) when I had to clear out space from my apartment before a move.

Amanda Wiss and her team at Urban Clarity are ***amazing.*** She's helped us with a parent's estate, decluttering after a move, and general organization. As a parent and a professional she has GREAT ideas, is extremely personable, and easy to get a hold of for ideas and resources even after any hands-on events. September 2012

I have a very good recommendation. The name is Urban Clarity and it is a small company, the owner lives in Brooklyn too. I just hired them to help me organize my office, kitchen, and all the toys... I was more than impressed. They have a lot of experience and gave me so many useful ideas. Then they came over first for an initial assessment and then a second time once I had purchased some materials, and we did the organization together, and in just a few hours my house feels so different. I could have never thought that it would be so helpful. (March 2012)
