    I rotated through three OB's here. The care was smart and made me feel secure. Doctors were kind. Efficient. Not a touchy-feely practice.

  • Twin pregnancy OB recommendations?

    I saw Dr Michele Metz at Uptown OBGYN on the UES. It was a trek from Brooklyn but they made me feel so calm and confident and never made it seem like a c-section was the only path forward, even though they made it clear that that it was a real possibility. They also can deliver breech babies, especially if Baby B is breech, which mine was.

    Drs Jackson, Cha and Metz are wonderful. I felt super comfortable with all three of them, and Dr. Cha ended up delivering me. They took my concerns seriously and inquired about my birth plan and desires early so they'd know for the actual day. Both myself and a friend who had wildly different desires (epidural vs natural, doula vs no doula) felt supported and well cared for.

    I absolutely love the Uptown OBYN practice and all three doctors there. You see all three doctors enough times to feel comfortable with whoever delivers you. All three struck a balance between letting us lead the experience and providing their guidance and opinions. I appreciated that they were warm, personable, but also no-nonsense. They explained everything at a level that made me feel comfortable, but not overwhelmed. And, they were realistic and not at all alarmist, which fit my style really well.     I LOVED Uptown OBGYN. It's a practice of three women - Drs. Cha, Metz, and Jackson - and they were all amazing. They are on the upper east side and deliver out of Mt. Sinai, but they were absolutely worth the trek, even at 9 months. I trusted them completely and knew I was in good hands. They are very laid back, but still took all my concerns seriously. I highly recommend them. Based on a March 2017 birthing experience

    Dr. Metz, Dr. Cha, and Dr. Jackson are awesome. They are all mothers who are open to different types of birth experiences. They are quick to respond when questions/concerns come up. Dr. Metz was my delivery doctor and she was a total rockstar. She was calm but assertive and her knowledge made me feel completely comfortable in her care. I will definitely go back to her when I'm ready for Baby #2. Based on December 2016 birth experience
