One doctor I highly recommend from my personal experience of suffering a lower disc herniation is Dr Mila Mogilevsky at Unique Pain Medicine (https://uniquepainmedicine.com/). She's a pain management doctor (as you could probably surmise from her practice name) and working with her and a PT (who helped me build up an exercise routine) was pretty much life-changing in terms of gaining back my mobility.
