Upholstering chairs?
Darek of Tristate Furniture Repair (718) 302-7050 — check reviews on PSP. He will fix up the frames and refinish if necessary and I usually send a picture and he tells me how much fabric I need so I can buy it myself, but he has sample books too. He might pick up for you in Sullivan—ask him. Otherwise he will pick up and Deliver in Brooklyn for sure.ISO: Upholsterer in Park Slope/Gowanus/Windsor Terrace
I have recommended many times before and still recommend heartily Tristate Furniture Repair in Greenpoint at 718 302 7050. Darek, the owner , has done countless re upholstery, re caning,and repairing furniture for my family and myself and is skilled, reliable, honest, reasonably priced , and a lovely person. He will pick up and deliver. I usually have him tell me how much fabric I need and then buy the yardage at Harry Zarans or Beckenstein and then call Darek to pick up. I have used Tristate Caning in Fort Greene and I've been very happy. They upholstered and repaired the arm of a dining room chair, re-caned an antique chair, and reinforced 3 dining room chairs. All the work was excellent. Based on my recommendation my friend had an armchair reupholstered and she loved the work as well.(no subject)
I just got back my sofa from Darek at Tristate Furniture Repair and I am extremely pleased with the work. Darek was very helpful throughout the entire process. I emailed him pictures initially for a price which was very competitive compared to all the other shops I checked with. He completed the work on time as promised (in a week and a half!) and the craftsmanship is excellent! I highly recommend Tristate. (Recommended 3/10)
