  • Pediatrician recommendation?

Dr. Free at tribeca pediatrics is awesome. Definitely has interest and has always gone above and beyond. I actually feel bad since she is not actually getting compensated for all the extra time she has spent with my kids.

Another vote for Moustofi! He’s always been so warm and caring, and provided us with his cell number. My oldest (2.5) had RSV last month and needed to be treated in the hospital, and he was checking in on her (also recommended the NYU pediatric ER to us, which was great care). I’m not a fan of the practices sleep training approach at all (and if you are breast/chest feeding it’s not necessarily a good approach so early on), but I told him our preferences and he’s always been supportive. We did have a couple appointment mix ups last year, but hopefully it was just a temporary glitch. I like that you can always get a nurse or doc on call, any time of day.

Just wanted to throw in another recommendation for Dr. Moustofi at Tribeca Ped on Cortelyou. We took both kids to him starting from birth, and only recently left his care because we moved out of state. I will say that the search for a comparable pediatrician has been tough so far (big shoes to fill!). Dr. Moustofi always went above and beyond with our kids care, taking his time to explain everything very thoroughly, working us through various newborn issues, he made himself available to answer many questions and concerns. When my daughter was 2, we had a very scary trip to the ER for an injury, in which Dr. Moustofi was on the phone with us and the ER staff until 1am, making sure everything was ok.

We currently go to the Ditmas Park (Courtelyou Rd) Tribeca location and see Dr Onishi -- when we can see her! We have been very happy with her so far, BUT for sick visits we usually end up with one of two younger providers who are a bit too dismissive for us.

I second the recommendation for Dr Moustafi and the general review for the other doctors in the practice. I would however caution the Tribeca admin staff is not the greatest if you need anything beyond standard appointment scheduling. They push you to the portal for all requests then often fail to respond or take weeks to do it. We've had to escalate and beg to get forms for EI and daycare returned timely. We've also had appointments rescheduled without notice, forms lost and recently they flat out turned us away because my newborn's coverage lagged due to a cross year life event that impacted my OE enrollment. Despite billing my toddler on the same insurance days before they refused to see my newborn unless I paid out of pocket and then waited for reimbursement...it felt completely impersonal and rigid. We're staying for now because we love dr Moustafi but might switch in the future especially if he was to leave.

We go to Tribeca Pediatrics on Cortelyou and see Dr. Moustafi and have been pretty happy. Getting appointments is easy, they send emails explaining what to expect at each visit, and they are sort of amazingly good at giving all the shots without a whole production. They are very straightforward about everything and quickly put your mind at ease when you have questions - the flip side of that is that they’re not going to spend a lot of time going through every single concern with you. Of all of the doctors Moustafi is the most attentive and takes the most time to answer questions- I found some of the others a little too efficient. They will tell you to sleep train at 2 months and start solids at 4 but we didn’t do either of those and they never said anything negative about our decisions. And this might seem silly but it’s just so amazing to be able to walk there!
  • Experience with Tribeca Pediatrics Cortelyou? Pediatricians in Prospect Park South/Ditmas?

We've taken our 6-month-old there since he was born and have had a great experience there. We've scheduled all his appointments with Dr. Teoh and have been really thrilled we found her. She's always answered our questions and is great with our kiddo.
  • Recommendations and Process for choosing Pediatricians

We went with Tribeca Pediatrics for our first (really love Dr. Onisihi at the Ditmas Park location) - but we've actually gone to a few different locations at different points and have had a really good experience all around!
  • Tribeca Pediatrics - Courtelyou location

I second Dr Moustofi! He’s been L.'s main doc from the beginning, and I’ve trusted him (though we didn’t see eye to eye on the sleep training stuff early on, but he was happy for us to do our own thing). He has a great demeanor and has always been very positive, and also thorough. I’ve come to really like him!
  • Tribeca Pediatrics - Courtelyou location

100% Dr. Moustofi He also has an infant so he’s right there with you. Great credentials as well.
  • Tribeca Pediatrics- Ditmas Park/Kensington

I also go to Tribeca in Ditmas Park and have been generally happy with the practice. We primarily see Dr. Mustafi and highly recommend him. He’s very responsive and thorough. We saw Dr. Gaw once when my son was sick and did not have a great experience. I found him rushed and dismissive of my concerns.
  • Tribeca Pediatrics- Ditmas Park/Kensington

We go to Tribeca in Ditmas Park and have had a good experience with Dr. Kero and Dr. Onishi. Dr. Kero tends to be very quick, but thorough and pretty patient with questions. Same with Dr. Onishi. I had a very negative experience with Dr. Gaw when my son had his very first appointment and had lost some weight (he blew off my concerns about wanting to stimulate milk supply and told me to go straight to formula, when I was only 4 days postpartum!) and I have since met three other people who have all had similar experiences with him. So I don't recommend him. I've never had an appointment with the other two. I have gone once during the pandemic for my son's 6 month appointment, and they were very good about mask-wearing, cleaning surfaces, and there was only one parent/child in the clinic at a time. Front desk staff and the nurses are great as well.
  • ISO Pediatrician in Kensington/Ditmas

Also very happy with Tribeca Pediatrics on Cortelyou. We have Dr. Kero who we also really like. They respond quickly when I call/email about non-emergency issues and especially since they have multiple locations they have been able to see my daughter right away if she does need to come in same day to get something checked out.
  • ISO Pediatrician in Kensington/Ditmas

We absolutely love Tribeca Pediatrics on Cortelyou. All of the doctors are amazing but we particularly love Dr Mustafi. Highly recommend!
