Review from the 2019 PSP Daycare, Preschool Survey
We love the Tiny Scientist. We ended up sending our kid here after his first preschool program did not work out. They have been so open and loving. He has some special needs and not only have these needs decreased at this school, they have been very communicative with us and have spent time working with us to make sure school is a good experience for him. He loves it-- they do really interesting projects, the space is fun and inviting, they go on neighborhood trips, spend fun time outside and he loves the science element of it and tells us all about it when he gets home. We wish he had started out here and would definitely send him again. My son loves loves loves this school and so do we. They do science/cooking activities but also music, art (learning about Frida Khalo and picasso!) and yoga. There are many tactile activities available to them when the come in each morning. The teacher to to child ratio is great and every child seems to have the right amount of attention. (3 adults to 12 children i believe). The staff always seems energetic, loving and happy. They are creative and fun which is great for the kids. The place is organized and staff is always available for our needs. They have been flexible with my schedule which is a huge plus. Aftercare is a combo of the 2-3 and 3-4 program . They go outside as much as they can. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has afterschool options What would you change? That they offer pre-K.Review from the 2018/2019 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey
My 2-year-old son has been going here in the 2s classroom since this summer. He started two days a week so we can slowly transition him and started 4 days a week with the school session in September. We have been very happy with the experience and the care the teachers provide. All of them have been great in supporting my son's transition to school after he was home with me for two years. They have been very communicative and give a daily verbal report of his day, which I really appreciate. We had a rough start with a lot of crying and the teachers were very good about sending me a text and a picture to update me about my son and how he is adjusting. I really like hearing about all the cool science experiments they do and my son talks about the music and yoga teachers that take classes as well. Also, they go out most days to the nearby playground weather permitting which is really nice! They also have a cute backyard where they do activities sometimes. Can't say enough about the teachers - I love love love that they are so warm and supportive. At the same time, they tell me promptly if they see any behavioral issues and suggest ways to change them. I really appreciate all that they do and would highly recommend this preschool. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has afterschool options, Has early morning hours, Provides snacks What would you change? I wish they would add UPK.
