Location: 279 Court Street Type of facility: Daycare Review: We love Tic Tac! The teachers are very creative and have a weekly themed curriculum for their classes (yoga on Tuesday, book of the week Wednesday, dramatic play Thursday, etc.) The kids have both structured and unstructured play time. They follow a consistent meal/nap schedule which helped our child to transition quickly and thrive there. The teachers update us during the day with pictures and videos so we know if she is eating/sleeping well and if she is having fun. Their policies are fair and communication is great. We would send her all over again in a heartbeat and are so glad we found them! What amenities does the facility have? Has outdoor space What would you change about the program, if anything? I hope in the future they require the COVID vaccine for the kids, but it’s too soon for that to be in place. Is there anything you would like to add about how the school is handling the pandemic? They closely follow all health department guidelines and have communicated frequently and clearly when there have been cases in the class. Teachers all mask and are vaccinated. We’ve had a fantastic experience so far - the teachers and staff have been engaging, caring, and attentive, and our baby is always smiling at pick-up and drop-off! They use an app to track activities and send pictures throughout the day, which we’ve appreciated as parents! What amenities does the facility have? Type of facility: Daycare Review: We couldn't have imagined a better place for our daughter to spend her day. All the teachers at Tic Tac are incredibly warm and loving, and treat our daughter like her own. They are also highly experienced and extremely creative, always coming up with fun art projects and stimulating, developmentally appropriate activities. It's a small center with an intimate, tight-knit vibe, and the staff to student ratio is excellent. Our daughter is always happy to see her teachers at the beginning of the day, and at the end of the day she never wants to leave. We're moving out of the city soon and will be heartbroken to leave our Tic Tac family. What amenities does the facility provide? Has outdoor space What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? I wouldn't change anything, though I will note that the owner has a strong personality and runs a very tight ship. While this doesn't bother us (in fact we like it!), I can understand why other parents might be turned off by her. Is there anything you would like to add about how the school handled the pandemic? Type of facility: Daycare Review: Our daughter adjusted SO well to daycare at Tic Tac. The staff are kind, energetic, professional, and loving. They helped our baby to transition and helped us to transition too. They have a full daily schedule which we receive at the beginning of each week including art classes, books of the week, yoga class, math class, sensory play, and other activities. Our daughter loves the stimulation and the routine. They have outdoor space at the facility and go outside every day regardless of weather, which we love. We highly recommend this program! More frequent communication from the owner Is there anything you would like to add about how the school handled the pandemic? This program had clear COVID safety protocols and they follow them closely. Staff are always masked, and the classroom is cleaned daily. All staff were vaccinated prior to the mandate and this was communicated to us directly. Pick up/drop off is one person only with a mask. They clearly communicated the new sick policy. Our daughter has been at the Joralemon St location for about a month and we are so happy there. The caregivers are kind and loving and our daughter gets lots of age-appropriate playtime and interaction with other babies. They are also taking excellent safety precautions for covid. I’m happy to chat one on one with anyone. We have been so happy with our choice and I would recommend them to anyone.
