Review from the Summer 2022 Birthing Survey
What month and year was your child born? January 2022 Review: Unfortunately, Dr. Paone was not my doctor during labor itself, but he was my OB throughout my pregnancy. He was outstanding - warm, calm, reassuring, communicative, and knowledgeable.ISO Gynecologist that accepts Emblem Health
I used to have Emblem and see Dr. Thomas Paone at Methodist (NY Presbyterian). Have been happy with him, nice bedside manner. It is hard to get in touch with the office though.Switching to OB/delivery at Brooklyn Methodist?
I see and love Dr. Paone (I’m 37 weeks) but the practice is a total mess (I also love the nurses I’ve seen there - it’s the admin side that seems to have the issues). There is truly no way to contact them by phone. They just updated / improved their e-messaging system, but I’m not sure you can get into that system without being a current patient. For Paone specifically, the best way to get an appointment is by calling his Bensonhurst office. I’m not sure if they would schedule for you at Methodist over the phone, but at the very least you could go to Bensonhurst once and get on the Methodist schedule going forward. (Or maybe reschedule at Methodist through the electronic system once you’re in.) The person you want to speak to at Bensonhurst is Anna— she’s very nice and competent. (Other office staff at both Bensonhurst and Methodist have told me things like, “You can’t see him til January” even though I look like I’m about to pop…)Recommendation for OB - Brooklyn Methodist
I currently see Dr. Thomas Paone and I like him a lot so far. His office is across the street from the hospital. This is is my first pregnancy.2019 Birth Survey
Dr. Paone was amazing from my first appointment through my induction and birth. He allowed me to make decisions when my due date came and went. He gave an email to reach out with non-emergency questions and replied within a timely manner. I would highly recommend him.Park Slope or nearby ob/gyn recommendation
I second Dr Paone. He delivered my 6 month old son at Methodist and he was amazing for the delivery and throughout my pregnancy. He has great bedside manner.Park Slope or nearby ob/gyn recommendation
If you don’t mind a male doctor, I love Dr Paone. He is also in the office across the street from Methodist (263 7th Street). He delivered my son (c section) and I use him for GYN. Great doctor!Review submitted via the PSP Birth Survey
One of the best OBGYN I've ever had! Very patient, kind, professional Based on a July 2017 birthing experienceReview submitted via the PSP Birth Survey

Dr Paone is calm, friendly and did an amazing job caring for me and delivering my twins (and older son). Based on April 2016 birthing experienceResponses to: ISO ob-gyn who takes Aetna
Dr. Josine Veca and her back-up Dr. Joseph Paone, they deliver at Methodist and are in the office between Rite Aid and Barnes & Noble on 7th Ave. Dr. Veca has been my OBGYN for some time, but Dr. Paone delivered my son in the end (which we knew in advance). Can't say enough about either of them, though it is a busy office with the normal annoyances (long wait times, especially later in the day, less than super-helpful front desk staff).Responses to: ISO ob-gyn who takes Aetna
I used Dr. Thomas Paone who is out of Methodist hospital. His office is right on 7th avenue -- very convenient if you live in the Slope. I recommend him, if you don't mind a young-ish male Doctor. He has a great bed side manner and is very reasonable and takes time to explain whatever you feel like needs explanation.
