Hiking or parkour camps?
Another cheer for Movement Creative. The instructors are fantastic, and it's a great option for kids who want to do something sporty that's not competitive. My teens go year round, and they both love it.Hiking or parkour camps?
My 10 year old stepson has been attending parkour classes over the past year with a group called "The Movement Creative." I've been super impressed with their team - The kids play movement games and (as the name suggests) approach movement creatively / playfully. My stepson actually didn't have enough movement in his life, which is why we enrolled him, and he now loves climbing & jumping on everything he can (where is appropriate & safe of course ?) Communication with parents is fantastic & they have a sliding scale if finances are an issue. They have summer camps in Prospect Park & also have a Central Park location: https://www.themovementcreative.com/summer-camp-2023-earlyReview from the 2022 Party Survey
We hired Movement Creative to do a parkour party for about 10 boys. Great time! Good communicators! Flexible (in every sense)!Parkour Birthday Party
I want to echo the recommendation for the movement creative! They were amazing, and made my son’s birthday really special, despite I it being a snowy day. They were incredible. You’ll be in great hands.Parkour Birthday Party

We’ve had instructors from The Movement Creative come out to Park Slope and do semi-private lessons with a few kids in the park and other outdoor places—they are wonderful. The more kids in the group the less expensive. They’re based in Manhattan and mostly do after school there so it’s sometimes hard to find a coach available to come out to Bklyn but we’ve had great experiences with them.Parkour for kids in Brooklyn

Check out the Movement Creative. They offer classes in Manhattan. But you can schedule semi private (up to 4 kids) and instructor will come to Brooklyn. My son and 3 friends did a great session in prospect park and we’re planning more.summer camp
Just want to echo the shout out for The Movement Creative. Our 4th grader takes the after-school course and they seamlessly moved to remote instruction. Coach Natalie is fantastic - super encouraging, creative, and balances challenge with comfort. This has been the ONE thing that our son has looked forward to in this remote space.summer camp
I know the owner of The Movement Creative and they are planning to do outdoor in person camps starting July in prospect park and I think also in a city location. They will have robust COVID protocols, small groups. I have no affiliations or kick backs here, just love these guys, owner is an awesome dude, really believes in what he is doing, and I might say is excellent at it too. My whole family has done a lot of movement creative things and really love this organization.2019 Summer Camp Review
Parkour Camp- movement and fitness skills through individual challenges and collaborative games. Kids had a blast, learned useful technique to play with the natural cityscape in entirely new fashion. The playground and parks have taken on a whole new world meaning. Mastered many basic gymnastic fundamentals as well as deeper sense of embodiment through their wonderful socio-emotional engagement. The whole team are true movement practitioners in the context of the movement therapy world. What would you change? The prices are slightly more expensive then our typical Brooklyn camps.
