REVIEW: My kid is very into film making, does a lot of stop-motion on his own, films live-action with friends. Has done one other class in the past and didn't love it in the end. But he LOVED this Take Two Film Academy class. He was impressed that his teacher (Saphia) is a professional in the field, and she was super-enthusiastic. There was only one other kid in the class, and they were great about making one week a double-session to accommodate when my child had to miss a week. (Apparently normally groups are 4-5 kids with a teacher, still a great ratio.) He learned things from day 1 that he is putting into practice in his own work at home. We haven't yet seen the final film, but he's excited about it! Skills learned: Using more professional apps, etc for script-writing, editing. What would you change? Nothing aside from location - when he does another class with them I'm hoping for the Union Square location - W 61st near Lincoln Center was a hike from Brooklyn for 9:30 AM on Saturday morning. Age of child: 13
