acupuncture for pelvic pain/pregnancy
Susan Wallmeyer, NY Chi acupuncture, is amazing. I saw her strung both pregnancies for sciatic nerve pain and related pregnancy discomforts. During my first pregnancy I could barely walk because of the pain and physical therapy and massage did nothing. After seeing her one time I was able to walk again unassisted. I saw her regularly during the last few weeks and by my due date was walking 10+ miles/day pain-free (!). Susan specializes in women’s health. She is located in Chelsea but has been making house calls recently (she came to my place in South Slope back in March). FWIW, I tried someone local during my most recent pregnancy and they were just not as effective. I felt so relaxed after my last session with Susan that I credit it with sending me into labor ahead of my scheduled induction (no pitocin needed!). Susan is out of network but prices are very reasonable. My insurance covered 70% of the visit.
