Alternatives to Amazon for shipping toys and books

I purchased a few toys from Sprout San Francisco. They specialize in green / healthy products and I like shopping at their store in Carroll Gardens. I've always found them to be very helpful and pleasant. I had a question before ordering and got a response by email within a few hours. It took a few days for my order to arrive because it came from the west coast, but we aren't going anywhere! Anyway, not really a "local" store but they do have a presence in our neighborhood and it's a company that I like to support when I can.
