  • Private OT recommendation?

SPOTS on court street has been great. My 5 yo no longer needs their services but they are lovely. Not sure about private therapy in your home but they have been open for in-person throughout the pandemic.

  • Re: [ANONYMOUS] OT specializing in SPD

I can highly recommend SPOTS in SoHo. Their evaluation process is fun for kids but incredibly informative. Really, I couldn't believe how much they could learn about my son during the evaluation. It was so eye-opening for us. Ultimately you then can get services wherever you need (including right here in Park Slope), but we were so impressed with them at the evaluation that we continued to commute there for OT.
  • Review from 2015 Summer Camp Survey

Program: Camp SPOTS Age of Child: 4 Likes: Every day is very structured with fun, enriching activities for the kids. Each week is a different theme. Food, sports, art, etc. they also spend a lot of time working on handwriting. Every child is assigned his or her own adult "buddy." I think they are mostly graduate students studying occupational therapy. The people who run the program are excellent. They are full time OTs at SPOTS. And, they provide very good feedback to parents. I highly recommend this program for children 4-5 who have sensory and/or fine motor issues. What would you change? I wish it were in Brooklyn, but they've been doing fun things in manhattan so it's worth the hot commute. Would you send your child(ren) again? Yes Do you recommend? Highly recommend Do you have any other information to add? It's for a specific age group, 4-5.
