I wanted to share my wonderful experience with Sofia's Daycare. My son started at 8 months, and is how 2.5 years old, and I credit Sofia and the amazing teachers there for helping him transition to full time daycare at the beginning and also with helping us raise a sweet, curious kid. My son runs into "school" every morning and is excited to share with us at the end of the day his different art projects or other stories from throughout the day. In a neighborhood with lots of great options, I think Sofia's stands out because the teachers make you feel like family, and it's an exceedingly warm and lively environment where the kids are encouraged in both group activies like coloring, music class or storytime, balanced with plenty of free play. There is a small enclosed backyard for when it is nice enough out which is amazing so the kids can run and get fresh air. Our son is always excited to tell us about the different toys, puzzles and games he discovered. They are never bored! A lot of other daycares have separate groups by age, so Sofia's is structured more as a big family or playgroup where everyone plays together. Before my son started this made me slightly hesitant, but you quickly see how well it works and the benefits of this cross-age interaction is amazing. My son, and really all the kids at Sofia's, start talking and walking and playing like their older friends! The older kids also learn from being around the babies as well. This is something I'm becoming especially grateful for recently as we are expecting our second child. What a relief to know our toddler knows how to be gentle around babies! There is a focus on fun, togetherness, but the main thing you feel when your kid goes to Sofia's is how much they love their teachers who are consistent, warm and their energy is truly limitless. You can tell how much the teachers love the kids too, which is heart warming. Lastly, as someone who fluctuated between different freelancing and full-time jobs, Sofia's was flexible in changing our schedule when necessary and made me feel so supported during that time as well. Can't really recommend enough!

    REVIEW: I have absolutely loved sending our daughter to Sofia's! The entire experience has been easy-going and flexible. Our daughter loves talking about and going to Sofia's, which is a testament to how much they care about each child. If you want a detailed daily report, however, this place may not be for you. That said, Sofia has always been responsive to any questions we had and did a great job working with during toddler transitions (such as bottle-feeding and potty training). Without a doubt, if we have another child, we will send them to Sofia's.; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals;

It is hard to believe that I am writing this review as I remember so clearly being a new, expectant mother, scrolling through reviews myself. I remember being so incredibly nervous - how could I trust strangers to watch my baby? How can I just drop her off and be away from her all day? Those fears are but a distant memory as Sofia’s Daycare is now a second home, an extension of our family system. We have been with Sofia since my daughter was 4 months old – she is now 21+ months and thriving. Sofia and her team were everything I needed as a new mom transitioning back to work. I felt like they cared for me just as much as my daughter – quieting my fears, working with me on feeding difficulties, treating me with warmth and kindness at the end of long days. I felt in true partnership with them regarding the care of my baby. She was kept on schedule, communication was clear and prompt. She definitely got sick a lot at first – but nothing out of the ordinary. Sofia was quick to reach out when there was a fever – and checked in with genuine care when I had to keep my daughter home. My daughter was also very finicky with her bottle – which was very stressful for me – and I truly felt like they were on the feeding journey with me. I will never forget the day my daughter finally finished her third bottle and Sofia flung the door open and gave me a big celebratory hug. This type of care and connection has remained through all phases – introducing solids, nap transitions, and now - navigating new toddler behaviors. They KNOW my daughter. Sofia and Miriam feel more like Emma’s aunties than her teachers at daycare. In terms of enrichment, my daughter is kept happy, busy, and thriving – socially, emotionally, mentally, physically. There is class every morning, lots of reading, art projects, music class, tons of toys, and a wonderful outdoor playscape. They provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks – which is absolutely incredible as a working mother. All we have to do is get her out the door – no packing food or bottles. At 21 months, my daughter comes home singing new songs, rattling off her ABC’s, and counting into her 20’s – I am amazed. I will read her a book and she will finish my sentences. Best of all is that she has developed so much socially – she legitimately has FRIENDS at daycare. She squeals with delight at the mention of their names – and runs to them when we see them around the neighborhood or at the playground. Sofia’s is a community – the parents are connected and the kids are so happy together. I wish I could go back and hug old me – the nervous mom dropping off her 4 month old baby! My daughter runs up the stairs at drop off, bounding through the door, all smiles. At pick up, she is STILL smiling. I look forward to chatting with Sofia/Miriam/Kelly at the end of the day – they are gracious with their time and let me ask questions about my daughter’s day. I always walk away feeling “in the know” and connected to my daughter’s day. They are also accessible via text throughout the day should I need to check in, in addition to running a “What’s App” group with tons of pictures and videos of the kiddos throughout the day. As a business owner, Sofia is fair, transparent, flexible, and easy going – sort of an “old school” business owner in the best of ways. I am so grateful that we found Sofia’s – and I don’t know where we’d be without them. I don’t know that this level of experienced care exists in many places. They are wise, confident, capable – your precious child will be safe, loved, and nurtured – and you as a parent will feel at peace and comfortable.

I recommend both Sofias (17th) and Peter Pan (20th).

Location: 259 17th street Type of facility: Daycare Review: My son was at Sofia’s for two and a half years and we had the best experience. He thrived there, made friends, ate well, played well and had a great time. He was always happy to go and always cheerful at pick up, which is sometimes all you know before they can talk. Sofia and her team were warm, supportive, and kind. They supported our potty training efforts, sent tons of pictures, created great programming for the kids including basic schoolwork and music and movement. I loved Sofia’s and would send both of my kids there again. What amenities does the facility have? Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals Is there anything you would like to add about how the school is handling the pandemic? At the time, they were masking and did not close for the pandemic. My son didn’t get many viruses there in general.

Location: South Slope Type of facility: Daycare Review: We have sent our daughter to Sofia’s since she was 4 mo and have been very happy with our choice. She is so happy to be dropped off in the morning and it’s clear that the daycare workers create a loving warm environment. They do music class, have an outdoor play space, and do lots of arts and crafts. Sofia has been flexible whenever we’ve asked for specifics (ie starting solids with baby led weaning or sleep training during nap time) which has been so helpful to ensure the things we’re working on at home also get implemented at daycare. What amenities does the facility have? Has outdoor space, Provides meals
  • Sofia's Daycare

Shout out to Sofia's Daycare! My son was there from 6mos - 3yrs before transitioning to 3K this past September 2021. On his last day, I cried. Why? Because our experience with Sofia's was so positive and wonderful it was hard to imagine leaving. Sofia is so experienced and loves children; nothing seems to faze her and her team, and she understands the struggles parents - especially working parents - face. She is compassionate, kind, and humorous, and I credit her with supporting and nourishing my son's cheerful and loving personality, even through the pandemic. I would not hesitate to recommend Sofia's for any age. She and her teachers care for babies with the highest level of experience, attention, and tenderness. The older children have educational programing woven into their day so my son had zero issues with the transition to a DOE program. He learned letters, numbers, colors, and more while at Sofia's, and enjoyed weekly visits from music and art teachers. We will always stay in touch with Sofia and look back on his experience there as some of the best years of his early life.
  • Seeking daycare

Both our kids go to Sofia’s Daycare on at 17th Street and 5th Avenue. It is an in-home daycare with with a backyard. L., now 3.5 has been with them since he was 5 months old. I., 11 months, started last September. Miriam, Kelly and Sofia provide a loving and warm environment, prior to COVID, there was music enrichment and pre-school teacher part time. The caregivers wear masks and do drop off at the door; clearly the kiddos don’t socially distance. Since returning to daycare, L. in early May and I. in September, neither have been sick. L. is learning his letter and numbers, stopping at every no parking sign in the street reading them out loud, ha. They do tons of crafts, coloring, reading, dancing, music and rest time. We know all the parents and have a text chain with them. Hours are 8-6 currently and rates are reasonable for Park Slope. http://www.sofiasdaycare.nyc/ If you are looking for childcare, we highly recommend Sofia and her amazing team!

I wanted to provide a shoutout to Sofia’s Daycare in South Slope (17th Street between 5th and 6th Avenues). It is an in-home daycare with a baby class and big kids class in two homes adjacent to each other, both with backyards. L., now almost 3.5 has been with them since he was 5 months old. I., 9 months, started last September. The baby class currently has only 3 kids and there is room for more. Miriam and Sofia provide a loving and warm environment, prior to COVID, there was music enrichment and pre-school teacher part time. The caregivers wear masks and do drop off at the door; clearly the kiddos don’t socially distance. Since returning to daycare, L. in early May and I. in September, neither have been sick. • 2019-2020 Year Review

Sofia's is a wonderful place where our kiddo receives structure, socialization, and so much care. It started out bumpy, when our seventh month old was too awake to the world to go along with the abrupt change, but Sofia and Miriam worked with us so much—despite bottle refusal, sleep training rules, crankiness, and stubbornness. Because of their patience, our baby is often reticent to leave during pick up. We can't ask for more. … About the facility: Provides meals … What would you change? I wish they provided healthier snacks, and I wish their approach to toys was more Montessori, but given how wonderful everything is, these complaints feel so minor.

My daughter has been going to Sofia’s since she was 4 months old. She seems to be very happy there and both providers (Sofia And Miriam) are amazing with her. She is always smiley when she sees them and happy when I pick her up. The only downside about this spot is that they don’t do daily “report cards” so we never really know how much she ate, drank, napped, etc. Sofia will tell you verbally if you ask, but it would nice to have something more formal, especially in those first few weeks. … About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has afterschool options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals
  • Review from the 2018/2019 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey

Our daughter started at Sofia's when she was about 6-months old and has since moved on to the Playschool for older toddlers (2−4yo). They have music class once a week, at both locations, and a teacher at the Playschool that works on things like counting and the alphabet. The caretakers are all very warm and our daughter seems to like them all. We've even hired one to babysit on multiple occasions. Sofia and her mother, Lali (who runs the Playschool), have been very accommodating of our part-time schedule and other concerns. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Provides meals What would you change? There isn't a lot of formal communication at Sofia's, such as receiving a daily report card, but they have always been responsive to any questions or concerns we have. They will also text photos and videos during the day, especially when your child first starts, which is great.

A loving and wonderful daycare with drop off as early as 7.30am and pick up as late as 6.00pm. Our child loves Sofia and Miriam as well as the other children at daycare. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has early morning hours, Music class What would you change? I would like to know more about what goes on day-to-day.

All food included, kind teachers, good price, lots of activities, lots of crafts. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Provides meals. What would you change? They sometimes let kids watch videos on their ipad at the end of the day, I'd prefer they didn't do that.
  • Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey

Sofia and her team are warm, loving and have good humor. My daughter had a rough transition at first (5 - 7 months) because she had serious FOMO about napping and then would want to be held all day. Sofia and I worked together on several different ideas to make my daughter more comfortable. Now my daughter talks about her friends at Sofia's all the time, and is always rushing to get in the door in the morning and happy to see us at night. They have music class once a week and taught her the alphabet, numbers and animal noises. By 18 months she could identify individual letters and numbers. She comes home with adorable art projects. I can tell it is a safe, happy, upbeat environment. They have also been flexible with us as we have changed her schedule there twice since she started (from part to full time and back to part time) as our needs changed. And we have used one of the teachers as an occasional babysitter, which has been very comfortable for us, especially the first few times we had a sitter put our daughter to bed. About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has early morning hours, Provides meals.

Our son started at Sofia’s Daycare at 5 months old. He is currently 7 months. It is a warm, loving and highly stimulating environment for him. He is all smiles when we drop him off and all smiles when we pick him up. The owner, Sofia, is gently proactive and which is very helpful since we are first time parents. We cannot imagine our son at another daycare center. We love it! About the facility: Has outdoor space, Has early morning hours, Provides meals.
  • Review from the 2017/2018 PSP Daycare, Preschool, PreK, Kindergarten Survey

Our daughter has been at Sofia's daycare since she was 5 months old. She is now 2.5 years old. She started in the daycare and is now at the Play School up the block (for ~2yo and up). We’ve been extremely happy to be there since the beginning. We started as part-time, 3 days a week for about a year and then moved to full time. Sofia and her staff are warm, loving and consistent. The same caregivers have been at both locations since our daughter started in early 2016 and she loves them. I really appreciate Sofia’s genuine and kind manner and her willingness to provide lots of feedback (and photos), especially in those early weeks/months. Each location has outdoor space and food is provided once your child is eating solids, which is a huge advantage. They also schedule music classes at both the daycare and the play school and a teacher comes (weekly I think?) to the play school for lessons. Has outdoor space, Provides meals. As our daughter has grown I feel the amount of feedback we receive has dropped off a bit, but I think this is to be expected. To be fair, I don't request feedback nearly as often, and when I do, it is given.
  • Sofia’s daycare

I second the warm recommendations for Sofia's daycare. My daughter has been there since she was 5 months old and is just now celebrating her one-year anniversary there at 17 months (wow does time fly!!). Sofia and her assistants managed a rough transition for [my child], who had problems napping at daycare for a couple of months. There were a few times I considered pulling her out of daycare and even toured some other programs but ultimately I couldn't find a better option that would address her specific needs any differently than Sofia and her team did. Now she is so excited to go to Sofia's in the morning that she will get her shoes and coat and hand them to us while saying the names of her friends at daycare. She is learning things like the alphabet, counting, colors, shapes, etc., so I know they do some basic curriculum with the older babies as well as a music class once a week. I also use one of her teachers as an occasional babysitter, which is very comfortable for everyone since she knows [my child] so well. In short, I can't say enough nice things about Sofia's and I hope you find the right place for you! Feel free to e-mail me if you'd like any more details.

  • Review of Sofia's Daycare

I've been sending my son to Sofia's Daycare since he was 5 months old. He's just over 3 years old now, and enrolled in her separate location for toddlers (half a block away), Sofia's Playschool. I can't stress enough how much I love this organization, and how much I wholeheartedly trust them and appreciate everything they've done with my son. From the time he started in Sofia's Daycare, when I was a wreck and checking in constantly, asking endless questions, Sofia and her staff patiently eased me through it with warmth (it was obviously harder on me than on my son!). I quickly saw the love and attention he was getting there, whenever I'd pick him up at the end of the day, he'd be full of smiles and laughter and affection for Sofia and Ada and his new buddies. They're very much on top of safety, on making sure all the kids' health reports/vaccinations are up to date, and just honestly completely professional, but in the warmest and most comforting way possible. My son is now at Sofia's Playschool (where they move to around 2 years old) and is with Lali, Sofia's amazingly lovely mother, and Byonda and Kelly- and they have a teacher Miss Lea, who comes in for 2-3 hours a day- they have lessons, they create all kinds of arts and crafts, they sing, they dance, they play in the backyard- it's just a wonderful and supporting atmosphere. All the kids are having fun, but they listen to direction, they learn to be well-mannered, in such a loving environment. I completely trust and love his caregivers here as well, and would recommend both locations to anyone. We moved out of Park Slope recently to Kensington, and I still bring my son here because it's just too great to leave, simply. I love them and consider them family at this point, that's how special they are.
  • South Slope day cares?

We used Sofia's Daycare on 17th street since my son was a year old and we love them. His last week is coming up as he's heading to PreK. They are a very warm and loving group. They employ a teacher who comes for 2 hours each day to teach the older kids the basics. They have a backyard that the kids can play in. I never had to worry about my child while there and I think that's the most important feeling to get from daycare. You want to know your child is loved, cared for and not being mistreated.

Subject: Review submitted via the 2014-2015 daycare/preschool survey Comment: Program: 5mo - 2yrs Length of time: Full Time Child’s Age: < 1 year Type of facility: Private, small daycare/playschool experience run out of a person's home with a very small number of childrenThere is little/no parental involvement with the administration or running of the facility. REVIEW: Our child has been enrolled at Sofia's since about 5 months old - we started out part time for the first few weeks and then went to full time when I had to be back at work full time; Sofia was very accommodating about that transition. Sofia and Ada struck me as knowledgeable, experienced, and affectionate caregivers, and that feeling has not changed. They genuinely seem to really like my child. The newest teacher, Miriam, also seems very kind and warm with lots of experience. They worked with our child through getting on a nap schedule, which I know is difficult at times, as naptime continues to be a challenge for us both at home and at daycare. We've seen our child really grow and change at daycare. I felt nervous leaving at first, but now it's easier. Our LO is always smiling and reaching for the teachers at drop off time, and is often so involved in playing when I come for pick up that it takes some time to notice I'm there, which makes me feel like good times are had when I'm not around. I feel comfortable asking Sofia about the day, and she usually gives me updates on napping, eating, and any particular issues. Nothing written, but she's very communicative. Sometimes we will get suggestions on what we should be doing differently on home. I also get pictures sometimes while I'm at work, which brightens my day. The facility has good space; it's the full parlor level of a brownstone, with access to a nice backyard with rubber mats and play structures and toys. It feels very comfortable and homey, and it has good daylight which I felt was important for how much time is spent in the space. There's a section in the back with pack n plays for sleeping that they open up for extra play space when no one is napping. I do sometimes feel a little nervous about security in that they don't have an intercom, but I also am only there at pickup and dropoff times so I don't know what they do during the day when no one is expected to stop by. All in all, it's a great facility, but it's also basic; there aren't special music or art teachers coming in or anything like that. There is an occasional art project, but mostly I think it's unstructured play. Which is fine by us, because these are very young children, and play is learning at that age. Sofia has a 2nd facility for older kids which I know very little about, but it sounds like it's quite successful as well. Would you recommend? Highly recommend

Length of Time: Full Child's Age: 1-2 years Review: My child demands attention. It is just her personality. She is very passionate--her entire face lights up when she smiles. Her smiles make can make the world stop in its tracks. She can also cry and scream for hours because she is not getting her way. She is 11 months old. I was a stay at home mom with her until 6 weeks ago. We had amazing adventures around our neighborhood with other moms and their babies. But then I had to go back to work. My kid had to go to daycare. It took her 4 weeks to adjust. For 2 of those weeks, she cried for hours. Sofia and her staff didn't give up. They knew there was more to my child than a screaming tear and snot factory. Now because of their diligence and care she smiles again and the world stops in its tracks. • Sofia's Daycare Recommendation

My son, Milo has been at Sofia's Daycare since he was 3 months old (he is now 15 months) at the 17th street location between 4th and 5th avenue. Sofia has become like a family member to us. Milo LOVES coming to daycare every single day and we love how well he is cared for. Sofia and Adda (and sometimes her mom) , love the kids like her own. This location is on the ground floor of Sofia's home which is filled with light, spacious and has a huge backyard where the kids can play. The environment is safe and fun and It really feels like I'm dropping off milo at a relatives. We often receive photos, calls and texts from Sofia during the day when Milo does something cute or noteworthy. Communication about how Milo is doing and his daily achievements has been great. Happy to answer any questions anyone has!
  • Review from 2013 Daycare/Preschool PSP Survey

Review date June 2013 (for 2012-2013 year) Program: Length of time: Full time Child's age: < 1 year Review: We have been sending our son (E) to Sofia's Daycare since he was five months old and we have had a fantastic experience. Lali, Sofia's mother, runs the Union St/4th Ave location and she is amazing. She is loving and kind, and provides a stimulating and secure environment for all of the children she tends. E loves her like a grandma, his face lights up every time he sees her. (Sofia is also great; she is occasionally at the Union St. location when Lali is off). The assistants that work with Lali are also top notch and seem to really care about the kids. Because kids aged 5 months to 2+ years are all together, and our son was on the younger side when he started, I was worried he would be stuck in a bouncy chair while the caregivers ran around after the older (more mobile) kids. But in the many months that he has been there, I've only arrived twice to find him in the bouncy seat. Every other day he has been in someone's arms, or being supervised playing on the floor. One of the great things is that Lali and Sofia often text me photos of E during the day, which makes being away from him much easier! When E started daycare, I had just gotten him on a feeding/sleeping schedule, and I was worried that going to daycare would screw that up. But Lali followed my schedule exactly, and I came to trust her enough that when the schedule was off, I knew it was because E was having an off day, not because of anything that happened at daycare. Lali was very deferential to us and how we wanted E's day to be organized. I get the sense that if he had not been on a schedule, that would have been fine too, or that she would have been able to get him on a schedule if that's what we wanted. E naps so well at daycare that I've asked Lali pointers to get him to nap better at home. I exclusively breastfeed E and pump at work. Lali was very understanding about my concern about overfeeding (which might lead me to have to supplement with formula) and followed my feeding instructions very closely. I was able to bring solid food from home so I could control exactly what Ezra was eating. They also provide food for the older kids once they are eating table food (though I get the sense you could still send your own if you wanted). Every evening, Lali or her assistant provides a detailed oral report of E's day including feeding, napping, activities and a few stories from the day. Nothing is written down, although they may be willing to do that if you ask. E is always clean, dry, feed, and rested when I pick him up. The facilities are nice and clean and fair-sized for Brooklyn daycares. There is a separate nap room, which was important for us as E sleeps better when it is quiet. There is also a backyard space where the kids play outside when it is nice out (it is shaded so sun isn't an issue). All in all, we have been extremely happy with Sofia's daycare and would highly recommend it to other parents who are looking for a professional daycare with a family feel. Do you recommend? (Hi/Rec/DoNot) Highly recommend

I currently send my son to Sofia's. We love Sofia, her mom and her staff. The environment is warm and fun and every time we pick our son up, every child is enjoying themselves. Our son took about a week to get used to not being at home with our nanny --but Sofia's warm nature truly broke through and now Julian adores going there and being with all his friends. I credit them for teaching him words and to say "thank you". They also keep to the same routine daily which I feel provides a stable day for the kids so they know what to expect. We are very happy there and can't say enough good things about Sofia!

I wanted to write a quick note to the list to let everyone know Sofia's daycare now has a new location in the North Slope, as well as to recommend their work. My daughter attends Sofia's daycare and it has been a wonderful experience! We are truly happy to have found such a great place for my little girl. Sofia and the other caregivers are simply amazing: they're very loving, warm, kind, and patient. They are also really professional and responsible. They offer great organic food. The hours are great for working parents, and prices are very reasonable. They have great facilities, music class a couple of times per week, and they do fun and creative art projects weekly. My daughter was very attached and had a hard time separating from me, and they did an amazing job making her feel comfortable and at home. She loves going to daycare and we truly have peace of mind when we drop her off at the start of the day.

For the last year and a half, I've been taking my daughter to Sofia's Daycare on 20th Street. We've had a great experience there. I credit Sophia and her mother with potty training my daughter before the age of two and teaching her to say "Please," and "Thank you." This home-based daycare has a warm and clean feel. Happily, Sophia is opening another branch located at *226 4th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, right next to the *R stop at Union. She is also going to begin offering Pre-K services.

I would like to add the highest recommendation to Sofia’s daycare. My son, Jack, was one of the first children accepted when the doors opened. Over these 2 ½ years, the level of care, concern, conscientiousness have remained absolutely excellent. Sofia and her staff offer a loving and supportive environment as well as a consistent daily schedule which I believe most children-including my own-need and find comforting. I would add that Sofia’s is a very interactive daycare---abc, numbers, shape time, story time, craft time, outdoor time (she has a wonderful backyard!). She is an experienced, trusted caregiver who is an excellent partner to us parents. As crazy as finding childcare can be, there hasn’t been 1 day I have worried about Jack’s care. Excellent childcare choice!

I could not second this recommendation more! My daughter attended Sofia's when it first opened, and it was such a wonderful experience! They still invite us to their events and parties and when we pass them on the street my daughter is greeted like a celebrity! She adores them as much as they adore her. Check it out!

My son has been going to sophia's for seven months (since he was six months old) and it has been a wonderful experience for our family. sofia, lali and nigora are kind and patient and they love what they do. it is apparent in how they interact with the children, the parents and in the energy you feel when you walk through the door. the children are happy and they LOVE the teachers. my son practically leaps out of my husband's arms in the morning and cries when i take him away in the afternoons. he has a blast and has learned so much. sofia and her staff truly love each child and take such good care of all of them. they helped us through bottle refusal, nap issues, introducing food, and more! we feel incredibly lucky to be a part of their program. we recommend them without reservation!

let me tell one and all that Sofia's Daycare, a new home daycare, is where I've had my 15 m.o. son for most of the autumn and will continue in the spring. Sofia and her mother Lali (pron. Lolly) work out of a space that is the top floor of a duplex (Sofia and her family live downstairs, but they also use it to access the big backyard, an open space with rubber matting for the little 'uns to tumble & flop on). They provide food, they are loving and kind, they are very responsible with all the necessary paperwork, it is extremely affordable, and I can't say enough good things about them. Sofia just started the business in the fall, so there are still some spots left, but when word gets out I suspect that won't remain the case for long. (December, 2010).

There is a new daycare center which just opened on 20th St. and 6th ave. called Sofia's Daycare. We toured it and loved it and my three-year-old daughter will be starting there on Wednesday! They still have openings so I wanted to put the word out as I know people are always looking for childcare options. This place is run by two (mother/daughter)lovely women from The Republic of Georgia, it's brand-new and very clean. They also provide three organic meals a day for the kids and their prices are VERY reasonable. They are also extremely flexible with hours and times of care and are open long hours (and will even do weekend drop offs for parent's nights out!) They even have a nice, large outdoor space in the back. The website is http://www.sofiasdaycare.com/. Check it out!
