  • Re: Kids haircuts for under $45

We’ve had good experiences at Slope Cuts on the corner of 7th Ave and Prospect Ave. They’re very kid-friendly and haircuts have cost us $25 + tip.
  • Haircut for a 1 year old

We take our little guy to Slope Cuts, which has fire truck and race car chairs and we help distract him with screens as needed.
  • Haircut for toddler

I just went with my 18 month old son, who I half expected to scream the whole time. He LOVED the fire truck and was trying to climb into it before the haircut so it was a treat for him. The barbers are so skilled at dealing with squirmy kids and handled a screaming child so well. I was extremely impressed.
  • ISO: haircut for toddler scared of haircuts

We did Slope Cuts in South slope and they have a little fire engine and a gown that makes you look like a firefighter -
  • Affordable kids bang trimming (south slope)

We just had our 2 year old's bangs trimmed at Slope Cuts on Prospect Ave for $6. They're great with kids and they've got a TV and a little car to keep them distracted during. I will say it's a barber shop so it wasn't exactly a stylish bang trim but for a 2 year old at $6 it did the job of keeping her hair out of her eyes.
  • Kids' stylist for curly hair?

My two year old has curly hair (like her mom) and a few weeks ago I took her to Slope Cuts for her first hair cut. The woman who did it did a good job. Reasonable ($20) and kid friendly. She looks very cute with her finally straight bangs :) and her curls look more organized. It's on Prospect Ave and 7th Ave.
  • Toddler haircut?

Max at Slope Cuts gives a great barber cut. They have a fire engine chair and will put cartoons on tv for you.
  • Shout out to Slope Cuts at 7th/Prospect

We’ve always loved Slope Cuts, but I know the pandemic has been hard on salons and similar. We particularly love Max, who cuts my 5 year olds very long hair with only scissors because buzzers freak my son out. Max is so patient and kind, and we get lots of compliments on the cuts. He doesn’t work on Sundays and we’ve had good experiences with the other guys as well. Kids cuts are $20. For littles they have a red fire truck chair that my son loved as a 3 and 4 y o. A local business I’m * really* hoping survives.
  • Haircut for toddler

I went to Slope Cuts at 7th Ave and Prospect Ave just last week for my little guy's first haircut, and we had a great time. We went at 930am on a Friday, bright and early, so it was just us, the two stylists, and one other customer in the big shop - plenty of room for people to keep distant, and everyone wore a mask. Our stylist, Juana, had gloves on, and it was clear that they were sanitizing their tools between cuts. They have a little car high chair thing for wee ones to sit in (F looooooved "driving" and turning the steering wheel - lots of "vroom vroom!"), and they turned Toy Story 2 on the TV as soon as we walked in. Juana spoke soothingly anytime F seemed to be getting antsy, but really between the movie and just observing the quiet salon, my guy was pretty relaxed. Juana did a great job at dealing with my guy's constant head-turning, and he got a great and very chill haircut - and only $20! Strong recommend.
  • Haircut in South Slope?

Slope cuts is great. Granted I have not had a haircut since January, but was a frequent visitor at slope cuts. Good price, awesome barbers, good movies/shows playing on the background.
  • Haircut in South Slope?

My son and I both recently went to Slope Cuts and felt very safe. We really liked our haircuts too. They now require appointments, so be sure to call ahead.
  • Hair Cut for 12m old

Check out Slope Cuts on 7th Ave in South Slope. It's a barbershop that's good with kids. They've got a little fire truck that the kids sit in for their cuts while wearing a fire fighter cape. They're also pretty used to (and good with) the screamers. Hahaha. Our little guy cried through his first two haircuts there and pretty much refused to sit still. They were unfazed and skilled at getting in and out quickly and safely. Now he loves it there!
  • Hair Cut for 12m old

We like slope cuts on 7th and Prospect and brought my son there when he was the same age. They have a fire truck they can sit in and are great at distracting children. We continue to go there.
  • FIRST baby haircut - where to go?

Ditto for Slope Cuts! My son has had his hair cut there three times, and it's been a great experience each time. They're all really friendly and welcoming, and Java in particular is a baby whisperer. My kid did really well the first and third time, but went into total panic mode the second time, and the staff was so nice about it and didn't even flinch. We've never been to one of the kid-specific hair salons but I appreciate that Slope Cuts is pretty quiet, chill, and not over-stimulating — makes the whole thing fairly low stress.
  • First baby haircut - where to go?

We love Slope Cuts: Slope Cuts 498 7th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11215 (347) 689-4143 https://goo.gl/maps/oGPCM9PMYe82 It’s a barber shop. They have a race car my son loves sitting in while getting his hair cut. They’re great with kids and have books and some trinkets for them to play with.
  • Kids' haircuts?

We took our child to Slope Cuts in 7th ave and Prospect Ave. They did a decent job, have a little truck seat for kids and it’s only $18. It’s nothing fancy but for a basic cut not bad.
  • Toddler haircut recommendations

We go to Slope Cuts on 7th Ave and Prospect Ave - it’s cheap (15 dollars) and there is a red car for kids to sit in while they get their hair cut, and a few toys to play with. It is a barbershop, so definitely not at all fancy.
  • [Winter2016Babies] Kids haircut - South Slope

Both our son and another boy in his class have had good luck with Slope Cuts on the corner of 7th Ave and Prospect Ave. (These were both cuts for boys though.) The barber was extremely patient and calming and was able to do a full cut with scissors without any intervention on my part, whereas with our first two cuts at Lulu's I had to hold him down and intervene more...
  • [Spring2016Babies] Baby haircut

We went to Slope Cuts. $15, and they had a little race car for [my daughter] to sit in. I have to say it's a TINY but uneven, but maybe that's because she was squirming and crying the whole time? They were very nice and clearly do a lot of kids cuts.
  • ISO toddler haircut place (not Lulu or area kicks)

just went through this search and ended up at Slope Cuts - It's no frills - more like a men's barber shop - we had Avi but Max was also recommended by 2 people 1. $15 !!! 2. There is a red car seat to sit in/ a few toys / lollipop at end if u approve 3. Calm environment / east to get appointment 4. Very experienced guy - gave my 2 yo angled bob type thing with some layering at back . he was patient and great with her - Was great experience - highly recommend 7th ave and prospect place
  • Haircut

Slope cuts on 7th Ave and prospect. Kid friendly. They have a car that the kids sit in so my 1 year old had his hands on the steering wheel the whole time. Very patient. We had Max.
