  • Recommendations for lactation consultant this weekend?

Shoshanna Levine is a great lactation consultant and does home visits in the Park Slope area. Not sure if she does weekends but when we needed someone she was able to fit us in very quickly. She made a big difference for us and was lovely to work with. Former labor and delivery nurse and now ICBLC.

What month and year was your child born? October 2022 Review: Shoshanna is a complete pro who has helped me twice when things were beginning to look hopeless. Each time she exuded total calm and found solutions that worked.

What month and year was your child born? February 2023 Review: I highly recommend Shoshanna Levine as a lactation consultant! Shoshanna made a big difference for us in being able to exclusively breastfeed after some challenges at the beginning that required us to be on a triple feeding plan (breastfeeding, pumping and supplementing). She was able to fit us in quickly with a home visit. Her examination, advice and technical support gave me confidence in what my baby was able to get and helped fix a latching problem on one side. She's very knowledgeable while also kind and encouraging - just what is needed during the stressful early days with a newborn and trying to breastfeed. After the home visit Shoshanna was available for phone calls to update our plans and then answer questions by text. The ongoing support and encouragement was great. Thanks to her I'm able to exclusively breastfeed my baby!

What month and year was your child born? July 2022 Review: I really clicked with Shoshanna. She is also straight forward and super helpful, without putting pressure on to breastfeed. We only met for one session, but I took a lot from it.
  • In-person IBCLC?

Shoshanna Levine is great local and I’m person!
  • OB/Gyn/Lactation Consultants/Peds knowledgeable about low milk supply

Shoshanna Levine, a great lactation consultant, comes to your house in Brooklyn. We had 5 consults covered, but only needed 3.

  • 2018 Review

I went through Boober and was put in touch with Shoshanna who came over the following afternoon and was amazing. I haven't filled the claim with insurance yet, but she wrote me an invoice that, from my understanding, I can send to my insurance. Here is her website:

Incredible! SO on point. Helped us get the breastfeeding going when it looked like it might not materialize. She has great exercises for the baby and encouragement for me as well as suggestions for how to increase supply and feel good. Found her through Boober.

I was referred to Shoshanna through Boober (I know, I know). It's run by the woman who runs Birth Day Presence, and it was great, especially when you're desperate and don't have the mental bandwidth to make too many decisions! https://getboober.com/

    Highly recommend Shoshanna Levine
  • Review submitted via the 2016 Birth Survey

Shoshanna was amazing. I was having issues with pain and she came over the same day and put together a plan that had me out of pain in several days. My baby also wasn't gaining weight fast and we've stayed in touch via phone and email for several weeks and she has tweaked the plan as needed. This is all for one flat fee. I highly recommend her. I may have given up on breast-feeding in the early weeks if it wasn't for Shoshanna! Member notes about insurance: My insurance doesn't cover. Based on a March 2016 birthing experience
