  • Re: Tribeca Pediatrics - Prospect Heights

We have been seeing Dr Shelley Satterlee since our twins (now 4) were newborns. She was working out of the Park Slope location, and I believe she's the lead at Prospect Heights now. We even decided to move clinics to remain with her. She is very calm and kind, and she always has worked with us on our parenting style and what was best for each of her individual children (I know this has not been the case for all doctors who are very rigid in advice and approach). We have had some outstanding situations due to the twin birth and prematurity, and we always felt confident in her hands and with her advice and referrals, including cardiological abnormalities (thankfully, all is fine now!) and possible asthma. We have also seen quite a few of the Dr's and nurses at the Park Slope location and one at the Fort Greene location due to sick visits and have been very happy with all but one. They are thorough and reassuring. The overall Tribeca offices have been helpful with everything we've asked or needed, including working with our insurance to cover Synagis shots (for premature newborns--not cheap!), helping with referrals to specialists (cardiology, ultrasounds, etc), and with a weird school requirement recently. We have been very happy Tribeca, and really respect and rely on Dr Satterlee.
  • PSP Preemie/ NICU Support

We see Dr Satterlee at Tribeca, and we have been very happy. She has referred us to specialists when she felt it was needed (including hip sonograms, a cardiologist, and a head sonogram). The practice helps with referrals based on insurance, which helped us not have to do all that leg work. And, while the Park Slope office doesn't have weekend hours, they have offices nearby that do for sick visits. We have called the after-hours line two or three times, and I always felt that the in-call Dr was helpful and calm. Our twins were born at 33wkd; one spent 10 days in NICU, the other was there for 3wks.
