  I did not have a homebirth, but Shawna was on call and delivered my first baby in 2017 when she was a midwife with Guirguis OBGYN. She was very calming and supportive. I did not have a doula but I remember feeling like I got the benefits of one with Shawna delivering.

  Wonderful attentive care with exactly the no-nonsense approach you would expect with a seasoned midwife. Respect for all of my concerns and complete answers to my questions. 1hr+ prenatal appointments spanning maternal and fetal health, nutrition, mental health, logistics and expectations.

  She was wonderful. Great bedside manner, knowledgeable and professional. She was able to help me not tear during my second vaginal delivery. Based on a September 2017 birthing experience.
