Shanique was our night nurse for seven weeks with our second child. After having a very rough postpartum period with my first child, I decided early on that we would invest in a night nurse for round two. We actually did have a night nurse with our first child for two weeks from weeks 5 to 7, but it was a rushed decision , in a time that felt like crisis, and the person we chose wasn’t a great fit for us. As a result, I took a lot of care finding someone for the second round. I wanted to find someone who was flexible, warm, understanding, and yet highly capable and experienced. Shanique was exactly that and so much more. She was completely happy to go with the flow and support my choices, but also extremely knowledgeable and able to read my baby’s signals based on her years of experience. She told me my baby would be sleeping at least six hours at a time by the time she left. I didn’t believe her, but it ended up being true. Our baby is now eight weeks and she is sleeping through the night some nights or waking up just once other nights. Regardless of whether that had happened or not, I still would’ve been so pleased with my experience with Shanique. I was well rested and calm even after her first night with us. Thanks to Shanique‘s soothing presence, I was not made to feel guilty about any of my postpartum choices, which is worth its weight in gold. I chose to nurse before going to bed, then I would pump once in the night and then nurse again in the morning. Shanique would handle all the burping, soothing, diaper changes and bottle/pump cleaning, which saved me lots of time. She would give my baby as many bottles as needed in between those set nursing sessions so that I could get meaningful stretches of sleep. I would recommend Shanique to anyone looking for support overnight with a baby. She was punctual, communicative, conscientious, loving and good humored. Simply a joy to work with, and frankly a godsend in those early days.Shanique Williamson, Night Nanny
I cannot recommend Shanique enough! We hired her to help out at night with our 2nd baby, and we only wish we'd met her earlier. From our first convo with her, she said something along the lines of "My job is to make your life easier." And she truly did! During an incredibly exhausting, stressful time, we felt comfortable leaving our newborn with her right away. She'd arrive in the evening, get the baby ready for bed, helped her sleep longer stretches, supported breast and bottle feeding, and most importantly - allowed us to get uninterrupted sleep. One of the best decisions we've made!Amazing baby nurse available immediately
Shanique was our baby nurse during nights for the first six weeks of our son’s life. She was wonderful! She was so incredibly helpful to us as new parents. She allowed us to get that much needed rest and showed us all of her techniques for feeding, swaddling, bathing, changing, etc. Her advice was invaluable. Shanique is such a sweet and caring person and she loves watching babies grow and flourish. we originally hired her for 3 weeks but kept her on for 6 weeks (and would have kept her on permanently if we could have!) We continue to keep in touch with her and and send her updates and ask for advice which she is happy to give. She is looking for a family to be with short to long term. Shanique is a certified new born care specialist with 8 1/2 years experience and has worked with tens of newborns both long and short term. She has experience with single, multiple, premature as well as NICU babies. Shanique is also CPR certified and maintains her vaccination record up-to-date. Aside from her childcare certifications, Shanique also has an associates degree in business administration.
