  • Review from the Spring 2022 Birthing Survey

Sally Rappaport was incredible supportive through my conception period and first trimester; I only wish my insurance covered her services through pregnancy and postpartum.
  • Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience Survey

Sally Rappeport is great for pregnancy-supportive acupuncture! I don't honestly know if her needles helped me in the end, but I believe that her knowledge of thyroid conditions and monthly hormone cycles was really the lynchpin that allowed me to get pregnant without any medical intervention (such as IUI). She suggested that I look at my thyroid numbers when neither my ob/gyn nor PCP had done so—and it turned out I had a thyroid condition that was likely keeping me from ovulating regularly!! Sally also suggested that I use an OTC hormone cream at a certain time of the month. Within a short time after taking action on both of these fronts, lo and behold, I conceived—after a year of trying previously. Long story short: even if you don't believe one way or the other about acupuncture itself (like me), a knowledgeable, focused, holistic health practitioner like Sally who believes in assessing the whole individual might be able to help you in ways that typical "western" practitioners do not!! Plus, she took my insurance :)
  • 2019 Birth Survey

Sally Rappeport - Acupuncturist. Sally helped me throughout the process of getting pregnant via IVF and then through my pregnancy. I found her to be really kind and great at listening to all of my little concerns that i didn't want to bring up with my fertility practice. I'd recommend her heartily to anyone looking to explore acupuncture, she makes it really accessible.

I saw Sally twice weekly for acupuncture to treat severe nausea and vomiting from six weeks to about six months. At that point we moved to once a week. Sally is incredibly knowledgeable. She was able to help me so much with my extreme nausea. She is also very gentle. I noticed this when I saw another acupuncturist who was more aggressive with needles. Sally is clearly very attuned to the pain level of the patient and is really paying attention as she practices her craft. She is also a very warm and kind person. She cared deeply about my pregnancy (a third one after two prior losses). After my baby was born she was so excited to meet her that she came to my house with bone broth she had made and held my sweet daughter. I would y have trusted many people to he the baby at that point, but I trust Sally very much. Member notes about insurance: Insurance is difficult. I have had to file claims myself and it wasn't easy. Based on a February 2016 birthing experience

I can highly recommend Sally Rappeport. She was recommended by Karen Thomas (who is also wonderful as a chiro and acupuncturist) for her specialty with pregnancy. I was 38 weeks with a baby that wouldn’t turn. Sally was clear that at 38 weeks it might not work – but it did and I was so relaxed and comfortable in her office I practically wanted to have the baby there. She won’t tell you what you want to hear she is straight up and extremely professional, she will tell you the truth. (June 2011)
