• Kid-friendly pharmacies for the flu shot?

  We went today to Rite-Aid on Smith and Warren in Boerum Hill and got shots for the whole family. They were SUPER nice and professional but we did have to wait a long time when we got there. We were not able to get them from our pediatrician this year, despite the fact that my kids had well visits in late September and I asked about them then. They are now reserving them for kids 2 and under because they don't have enough vaccines. We live in Prospect Heights and spent 45 minutes today calling pharmacies, until we finally found one with flu shots in stock that would administer to kids. Luckily it wasn't too much trouble for us to get to Boerum Hill, but this whole experience has me very worried about what will happen when we finally get a COVID vaccine, and very sad/anxious/angry about the state of our country's health care system. It shouldn't be this hard. But at least we hopefully won't get the flu this winter...
