I recommend reaching out to Rembert Block who worked with our daughter for two years (third and fourth grade) - focusing on slowing down while reading and writing. Our daughter loved working with Rembert and looked forward to her tutoring sessions each week. Rembert used many methods to engage our daughter in the process of writing including drawing pictures.
