What month and year was your child born? December 2022 Review: Dr Wong is at Weill Cornell. He was fantastic. He has excellent bed side manner and is very knowledgeable. He always took the time to explain absolutely everything about the tests I was to have during my pregnancy and why it was important/relevant for my circumstances. He would tell me about anything that was optional vs mandatory and I never felt pressured into a decision one way or another. Dr Wong was not my primary OB but he was on call when I went into labor. I had the good luck of meeting him previously in my rotation around the practice, so he was not a complete stranger to me on The Day. In short, he's great! He is a little quirky, and I'm pretty sure he patted me on the head after I was all done and he was saying good-bye, but overall he was a very calm and pleasant presence in the delivery room. NYP Lower Manhattan Labor & Delivery is basically run by the PAs and Nurses, and Dr. Wong was the only male in the room other than my husband. I found him to be very respectful of the younger women who were basically doing all the work up until he caught the baby. The primary PA who was looking after me was given a lot of latitude and then I'm pretty sure she did my stitches with him directing and teaching her. I actually found that to be really nice -- he seemed genuinely interested in teaching and seemed to enjoy his work, even down to his excitement at showing us the placenta. Dr Raymond Wong is one of the BEST Obs out there! In fact, I know 2 other people who have him as their doctor and rave about him. His bedside manner is humorous, laid-back and calm, which puts you at ease, but he really does know his stuff! During my potentially precarious labor & delivery (the baby's heartrate was decelerating), he still found a way for me to safely deliver vaginally without going into C section if possible. He has a wealth of experience and is highly recommended by everyone I know!
