  • Lab question

After doing some research on this ourselves, we were recommended the Quest in Park Slope on 13th Street. We had a great experience there -- they were gentle and patient with our 10 month old, who needed the blood draw for allergy testing.
  • 1 yo and Bloodwork

We took our son to a Quest Diagnostics for bloodwork at that age, and they were wonderful.
  • 2 year blood test recos?

We've had successful experiences at Quest, both on Atlantic and13th Street, as well as at Methodist. Even when the tech was unable to get a draw, they were always kind.
  • 2 year blood test recos?

Despite an appointment we had a long wait and then the person had a hard time getting blood from my kid's arm...just a bummer.
  • Quest Diagnostics - advice re toddler blood work

We had a great experience with my then 1.5yo at the Park Slope Quest (I think it’s on 13th St or something like that). The phlebotomist was clearly very used to working with kids and it was really efficient and easy.
  • Quest Diagnostics - advice re toddler blood work

I also saw far too many negative reviews for Quest before taking our son there for blood work when he was that age. To my surprise, it was the most pleasant experience. Just be sure to confirm the location you took your child to does blood work on littles.
  • Quest Diagnostics - advice re toddler blood work

Hi, we took our then one year old to Quest on 13th street near 6th ave for a blood draw. We were so nervous after seeing an unsuccessful attempt at inserting an IV when he was a baby, but it was quick and smooth. The nurse didn’t bat an eye and was a real pro. We played the baby shark video to distract him and it was over in a second. Of course, my son strangely enjoys going to the doctor...but still, we had a good experience and would go back if we had to.
  • pediatric blood draw

My son has had to have many, many blood draws and I can’t speak more highly about our experience at Quest at 348 13th Street. They’ve always been great with him and when you make an appointment ahead of time you are seen quickly.
  • Peds blood draw lab

We’ve had really good experiences with Quest on 13th Street. My son has probably had over 30 draws with them. We use the automated scheduling system. The phlebotomists are great with kids. Hopefully they are still open!
  • Pediatric blood draws, know a good lab?

Otherwise, we have had good experience with the Quest on Atlantic and Boerum. You might call ahead and find out when their best pediatric phlebotomist is on duty and once you establish a relationship with that person things may go better.
  • Pediatric blood draws, know a good lab?

Our son has had many bloodraws as an infant and now as a toddler and we’ve been really impressed with Quest on 12th Street.
  • Pediatric Phlebotomist

We’ve had very good experiences at Quest on 13th Street. You can schedule by phone and ITT quick and the phlebotomists are very nice.
  • Blood draw for baby

We’ve taken our kids there many times and it was always great (considering the circumstances!), but we did always made sure to request in advance a pediatric phlebotomist when making our appointments on Quest’s website.
  • Blood draw for baby

My husband took our daughter here around 9 months (I was too afraid). He said it was totally fine, they were singing with her and gave her stickers. He said the staff were very good with her.
  • Blood draw for baby

I took my daughter around 10 months to Quest on 13th street for her bloodwork for allergies. It went very well and they were wonderful. Super easy.
  • good lab for baby blood draw?

Second the recommendation for the Quest on 13th Street. I did make an appointment online and was in an out very quickly. They were wonderful
  • good lab for baby blood draw?

I know this isn't LabCorp so it may not be helpful to you but we went to the Park Slope Quest Diagnostics on 13th Street a few weeks ago and they were great. They did everything quickly. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes without making an appointment. I highly recommend them.
  • Blood Draw Recommendation-Park Slope Quest Diagnostics

I highly recommend the Park Slope Quest Diagnostics on 13th Street for infant/toddler blood draws. We brought our 12-month-old there for his annual blood labs. They did everything quickly. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes without making an appointment and my son barely cried.
  • [Fall2015Babies] Blood draw for toddler

Last year we went to the Quest on 13th st in the slope and the phlebotomist was able to find a vein super quickly after a terrible experience at the peds office.
  • Re: 24 mth blood draw location recs

I had a good experience at Quest in Park Slope with my infant and always go there for my own blood work. The wait is usually not long and you can make an appointment online to make sure there's very little wait. (November 2014)
  • Blood draw recommendation

I recently took my very chubby 10 month old for a blood draw at the a Quest on 13th street. The particular test needed to be drawn at the lab vs a doctors office and my ped seemed to prefer either quest or labcorp over the Methodist lab. I was surprised to find that you can no longer make an appt with a live person (phone or in person), online only - I wanted to discuss the number of tests and specific ones needed before the appt - but despite my serious doubts as the phlebotomist prepared, she did get my daughters vein in the first try. I was pretty impressed.
  • Blood draw recommendation

I had a good experience at Quest in Park Slope with my then-two month old this winter. They were very competent, and I've always found them to be very nice. The wait is never as long as Methodist.
  • Re: 24 Month Blood Draw

We've had our 2 year old's blood draw twice at the quest on 13th and have had great experiences both times, with 2 different phlebotomists. I don't know if this is the lab you went to, but when we went they were friendly and quick and knew what they were doing. Its obviously not set up only for pediatrics but they seem to get a lot of kids in and out and are used to it. I also prepared her for it. We came prepared with a lollipop both times and the last time they gave her stickers as well. The scariest thing for our daughter was being restrained, so we told her about it in advance, along with what to expect. That daddy would have to hold her very tightly so she wouldn't move and get a boo boo (she is used to the correlation between moving and boo boos thanks to trying to brush her hair), they would put a rubber band on her arm (how silly), and that the nice lady at the lab would have to give her a little pinch (and we showed her were it would be). We made sure to not say it was a doctor. She cried briefly both times, but had stopped before they were even done with the draw. I just think the whole situation is sort of scary and our nerves probably make it worse, so I just try to be honest and distract as much as possible. Hope you don't have too many tears!
  • Re: 24 Month Blood Draw

We've also had only good experiences at the Quest on 13th Street. I generally make an appointment ahead of time on their website and select "pediatric blood draw" or something as the type of appointment. The people there always seem to know how to handle kids. Recently I had to take my 2 1/2 year old right after an appointment with our GP and without an appointment, and it was totally fine. She didn't even cry and it was over with so quickly. If you make an appointment you generally don't have to wait. Good luck!
  • Re: Rec for a lab that draws blood for 11month old

We did our 12m draw at Quest Diagnostics on 13th btw 6&7 ave.
  • (no subject)

And yes, we do use Quest. The ladies at the 13th street location in PS are sweet/patient with toddlers.
  • (no subject)

I went to Quest on 13th and asked for a peds appt. it was really good. The person was sweet with my son and we were in and out in about 15 mins.
