Review from the Fall 2021 Early Childhood Education Survey
Type of facility: 3K Review: I'm so pleasantly surprised with the 3K program at PS 20. It hits all the marks of high-quality childcare and so much more. The teachers are loving, the space is large enough and functional, my kid learns a ton of stuff and is so proud of it. They offer specials on a weekly or even twice-weekly basis, including music/dance, gardening/science and literacy and almost daily outdoor recess. PS 20 also got a great afterschool provider that runs daily from 2:30 to 6 in the building and is insanely affordable and fun. The regular day runs from 8:10 to 2:30, they do a one-hour nap/quiet time, and they offer school lunch for the kiddos. What amenities does the facility provide? Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Provides meals Is there anything you would like to add about how the school handled the pandemic? Masks for everyone in the building at all times. Communication is pretty solid given the absurdity of the state of things.
