  • Review from the Spring 2023 Birthing Survey

What month and year was your child born? Feb 2023 Review: Dr. Fong is incredible in every possible way. It would be impossible to ask for a better dr.

What month and year was your child born? November 2022 Review: Dr. Chen (our OB) is straightforward, knowledgable, and gives sound advice. But we always felt rushed. She didn't give much more information than what we asked directly. Dr. Fong (who attended my birth) is warm and has a very calming presence. She is funny and helped ease my stress in the most tense moments. She even offered to take photos of our new family after the birth even though I'm sure she's so busy.

What month and year was your child born? April 2023 Review: Dr. Po Fong and the team she works with-- Dr. Pena and Dr. Fridel-- are wonderful. I always felt well taken care of, had minimal wait time in the office, and had efficient and prompt interactions with nurses and administration staff. What more could you ask for? Dr. Fong is kind, funny, and caring, and though she didn't deliver my baby, I felt in great hands with Dr. Pena. 110% recommend-- well worth the trip from Brooklyn to Tribeca.

What month and year was your child born? 02/2021 Review: Dr Fong is so great, very warm and comforting and gives you time to ask all your questions. My pregnancy turned high risk after 6 months and I had to switch to a high risk OB.
  • MFM doctors with specialization in preeclampsia

I recommend Po Fong and the others in her practice at Weil Cornell. She (and the others - I ended up cycling through them during my stay at the hospital) safely managed my preeclampsia during delivery at the downtown hospital.
  • Recommendation for Gyn with Weill Cornell

Seconding the recs for Drs Fong, Pena, and Chen!
  • Recommendation for Gyn with Weill Cornell

Dr. Fong is great, she delivered my baby in July. She’s very personable and warm, and had great bedside manners at NYPLM. I had almost 3 hours of pushing but never would have known because of her. They’re both out of the Tribeca office. I will say the appointments are notoriously late no matter the time of day…but they take their time with you when it’s your turn. The front desk staff is lovely too.
  • Recommendation for Gyn with Weill Cornell

My OBGYN is Dr. Po Fong at the 40 Worth St location in lower Manhattan (labor and delivery, if it matters to you, at NYP Lower Manhattan Hospital in TriBeCa/FiDi). Highly recommend her and her entire practice - other doctors, nurses, the whole staff. Fantastic bedside manner, knowledgeable (and current with knowledge), responsive to any questions - in person or over email/phone. Nurses (and staff) were efficient, nice, and good at their jobs. Plus, the hospital staff was second to none in my opinion. Lastly, something I incredibly appreciate - they are great at processing admin/insurance - speed and accuracy (something I have not had with other practices of any medical specialty).
  • OB who can work closely with psychiatrist

I had a great experience with Dr Po Fong of Weill Cornell, whose office is in Tribeca: https://weillcornell.org/pofong. I saw her for every appointment until the rotation, and although I was not under the care of a psychiatrist she was very engaged in discussing my mental health (I was on Zoloft throughout the pregnancy under supervision of my PCP). Using her again now for my second pregnancy even though we've moved to the NJ burbs. She + her practice partners deliver at NYP Lower Manhattan. Dr Fong's colleague Dr Vanessa Pena ended up doing my delivery, and she was incredibly kind.
  • Review from the 2020 Birthing Experience Survey

I used Dr. Fong at Weill Cornell’s Tribeca practice and was very happy with her, and the practice generally. Easy scheduling and communication with the front desk, great experience with all of the doctors in the practice. Very common sense and practical.
  • 2019 Birth Survey

Both great: compassionate, good communicators, made me feel fully informed and never made me feel like my questions were stupid. Once I was on the roster it was also easy for me to get appointments — very pleasant office staff. (Po Ching Fong / Vanessa Pena)
  • Review submitted by 2016 Birth Survey

Dr. Fong has a very caring, compassionate, sweet and practical bedside manner. I am an anxious patient and she always put me at ease and made me feel better. She didn't rush - she even let my other daughter find the baby's heartbeat on the Doppler at one of my appointments. Her staff and office are amazing. Everything is digital. She didn't end up delivering my baby but the prenatal care was top notch. I had hypermesis and was first seeing another doctor who didn't help me and when I switched to Dr. Fong things really improved. Member notes about insurance: Yes she does and I didn't have to file claims. Based on a March 2016 birthing experience

REVIEW: Dr. Fong is thorough and very even keeled. She will answer all your questions and I never felt rushed. She didn't end up delivering my baby, it was another doctor in the practise whom I really liked as well. Dr. Fong came highly recommended and I can see why. INSURANCE She takes most major insurances. I am with Cigna and I had no issues.
