- Dentist for 3 yr old recommendationsOur daughter doesn’t watch tv yet and I happened to mention that when I made her first appointment at Zev Tendler’s practice. They have a screen in the waiting room and set it to be a fishbowl scene instead of tv/movie for our arrival. This wasn’t a problem since there is only one patient at a time in the waiting room due to COVID protocols. They have many other distractions to help kids who might be scared. At my daughter’s first appointment they gave her a dinosaur stuffie with a set of real looking teeth (he’d been sanitized) and a giant toothbrush and mirror and showed her how to brush its teeth and use the mirror. She was blown away. I didn’t take her to the second appointment which was six months later but apparently she got to choose a tiara, bracelet, and ring when she go there. We forgot to mention the no tv thing, so it was on in the waiting room and she watched it for a few minutes and lost interest because she was more interested in sitting in the colorful chairs. She got tokens at the end of the appointment and used them to get prizes from gum-ball machine. Hope that helps. We see Dr. Yassee who is great. Very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions of which there were many.

- Rec for pediatric dentist/ first ever visitI just took my 3.5 year old to Pediatric Dentistry of Brooklyn in Downtown Brooklyn. Everyone there is very nice and friendly. The dentist was great and very realistic (my child isn’t ready to stop sucking on his fingers right now). They also have tv, stuffed animals, a bunch of toys in the waiting room and of course, a prize chest for the way out. It wasn’t my sons first visit but he really liked watching an episode of Daniel Tiger where he goes to the dentist. It helped me get more buy in on brushing his teeth too.
- Pediatric dentist recs?We love Drs Tendler and Etzion at Pediatric Dentistry of Brooklyn. Their staff is also wonderful. They were so great with my son who had sensory issues and hated the dentist! They are in Brooklyn Heights
