ISO (Male) Pediatrician for 12 yo
We see Dr. Keller at Park Slope Pediatrics too. My son is 10, and Dr. Keller has been his pediatrician since birth. We find him personable, non-alarmist, but thorough.ISO (Male) Pediatrician for 12 yo

We moved to CT right after that and took up with a practice there. When we got back to Brooklyn, we switched to Dr. Steven Gelman at Park Slope Pediatrics. He was unbelievable and amazing as a doctor. That said, he is just one man, and it was hard to get sick appointments or even well appointments, which was a concern for us.Pediatrician recommendations
We go to Dr. Gelman at Pediatrics at Degraw and love it. They are affiliated with Methodist. We see Dr. Gelman for all well child visits and he’s always thorough, gentle, and non alarmist. And it’s a big practice so if we need to come in with a sick kid, we either see him or one of the other doctors, all of whom I’ve liked. Dr. Gelman was recommended to me by a friend and I’ve recommended him to a lot of other friends, who have all thanked me.Pediatrician
Dr Steven Gelman at NYPH Park Slope Pediatrics on Degraw St and 4th Ave is wonderful and there’s rarely a wait!Pediatricians at 621 Degraw
Hi!! My son has been seeing Dr. Keller for the last two years. We love him!!Pediatricians at 621 Degraw
I've been taking my 2 yo son there to see Dr. Lisa Baker since he was 6 months old. We really like her and the service has been great. We haven't seen any other doctors, and luckily he's been healthy so we haven't had to go in too frequently. But occasionally we've needed to go and we've been happy with Dr. Baker.Pediatricians at 621 Degraw
My 9 year old daughter has been seeing Dr. Gelman since she was an infant. He is fantastic and I would strongly recommend him.Pediatricians at 621 Degraw
My 7 yo and 2 yo have been seeing Dr. Eric Keller since birth. We love him!Pediatricians at 621 Degraw
Dr. Gelman has been taking care of our 4mo old since he was born and we really love him. He’s very kind, soft spoken, and takes a relaxed yet thorough approach which is good for a nervous mother like me! He doesn’t offer tons of information, which I think would get overwhelming, but rather has you bring questions and answers them fully. The practice is lovely, it’s pretty much new and we’ve never ever had to wait in the adorable (and generally almost empty) waiting room.Pediatricians at 621 Degraw
I believe that is the new (nicer!) Park Slope Pediatrics location. My son 's pediatrician since birth is Dr Bialik and he's terrific. Knows his stuff but not at all alarmist. We've also had generally good experiences with other docs in the practice for sick visits, including Dr Minnie John and Dr Steven Gelman. We're typically able to be seen same day for sick visits without a terrible wait time, and you are right that many of the docs have roles at Methodist, which I like. The regular website is down, I imagine because they are in the middle of the transition to NY Presbyterian, so I can't find the exact titles.previous page next page Pediatricians at 621 Degraw
We see Dr. Gelman with our 4mo and are pleased with our decision so far. We saw all of the drs early on when our son wasn’t gaining weight quickly enough and liked them all. Dr. Gelman takes his time with us and seems observant and thorough. He answers my millions of questions patiently, and our baby genuinely seems to like him. The office runs smoothly, and the nurses are very friendly. It’s a brand-new location and very clean. The only downside is that parking around there is difficult if that’s a concern.2018 Review
We see Dr. Dygulska - she's Bulgarian and understands Russian, but doesn't speak it well. Dr. Bialik is great, several of our friends go to him and we were supposed to, but he was on vacation when we had our first kid and we just stuck with Dr. Dygulska who was covering for him. Dr. Bialik is also the head of Pediatrics at Methodist Hospital (Dr. Dygulska is the head of the maternal neonatal unit there). In general, all doctors in their practices are great, we've seen many of them over the years.2018 Review
Dr. Steven Gelman is our pediatrician and I love him. He's a thorough, attentive doctor who listens, but he's not at all alarmist. I really needed that calm and perspective as a new parent.Re: Recommendations for pediatricians?
I can heartily recommend Dr. Steven Gelman at Park Slope Pediatrics. He's been my (now 8 year old) son's pediatrician since birth.Re: Recommendations for pediatricians?
I second Steven Gelman. Low key and low panic, but attentive.Re: Kind of hate my pediatrician? Venting and looking for advice
Park Slope was a big practice with a lot of doctors who can take turns being on call. So calling after hours was never a problem, but you didn't know who you would get. you also never knew who you would get for sick visits. Some docs were better, more sympathetic than others, which is probably par for the course.Review submitted via 2015 Birth Survey
Steven Gelman Review: Best bedside manner for new parents! Patient and funny and kind. Insurance: Takes insurance, we haven't had any issuesReview submitted via 2015 Birth Survey
Dr. Eric Keller Review: The offices itself leave a bit to be desired but Dr. Keller has been great with both of my kids. He's great at talking through your fears and concerns, very down to earth and does not push any sort of sleep training if that is a concern. Insurance: Yes they take insurance, it's a very easy process. Based on a January 2015 birthReview submitted via 2015 Birth Survey

We've been very happy with Dr. Keller at Park Slope Pediatrics. They're located at Prospect Park West and Union.Re: Best Pediatrician
We love Dr. Eric Keller at Park Slope Pediatrics! Genuine, warm, friendly pediatrician. Our daughter loves her and giggles with him. Had him from day one since we gave birth at Methodist. Her first "visit" was before she was even discharged. All our records were automatically accessible at the pediatrician's office. We never had long waits at Park Slope Pediatrics. We even did a same day sick visit and were seen in a timely manner..
Avoid Park Slope Pediatrics. Incredibly long wait times, a wait room full of broken toys and books with missing pages. Bare minimum effort from doctors.ISO: Pediatrician that Accepts GHI

Our 9-year-old daughter goes to Dr. Steven Gelman at Park Slope Pediatrics and we love him. Very friendly, really talks to your child, follows up. We are happy with the care we receive. We were referred by a friend who has a 6-year-old son and they're also big fans. (May 2011)Dr. Gelman Review from 2011 PSP Pediatrician Survey
(Review Feb.2011) Dr. Gelman is lovely -- gentle, non-intimidating, good listener, never hurries you. Office is open on Saturdays. We have been pretty satisfied since switching from Premier Pediatrics when they moved. (Though I still might rate Premier slightly higher, overall.) I remember not wanting to give her the H1N1 vaccine and he never pushed it....he did of course gave me his professional opinion on the matter... INSURANCE: I have Neighborhood and yes he takes that kind of insurance......claims are processed in a timely manner.Dr. Bialik - Review from 2011 PSP Pediatrician Survey
(Review Feb.2011) We love him and our son loves him. He asks important questions and never seems in a hurry. I always call when my son is sick to see if I should bring him in and they usually can help me over the phone-- doctor calls back the same day. Our son is 18 months, healthy, and has never been treated with antibiotics. I think it says a lot about a doctor if they don't just look for an easy prescription answer to all problems. INSURANCE: HIP & GHI-- yes they take it and have had no insurance issues.(no subject)
My kids have both been patients of Dr. Bialik since they were born. He is absolutely one of the best doctors I have ever known. He is INCREDIBLY smart, up to date on all that is going on in medicine, non alarmist and funny and warm with my kids. We have smart conversations with him about child development, and I feel my kids are getting the best possible care. Others in the practice like Dr. Cao and Dr. Gelman are lovely too, but Dr. Bialik is the best fit for us as he is an intellectual powerhouse. (December, 2010)
