  As for a good small local option, Park Slope Optical on Flatbush has been very good to us. My son has broken a couple of pairs at this point and Charlie has been amazing about replacing them for free. I highly recommend them & their wonderful service!

  Park Slope Optical on Flatbush -- as of a few years ago, there was someone trained in karataconus for basic eyewear/contact lens fitting. I'd call to see if they're still there.

  I was surprised that Park Slope optical on Flatbush had a good selection for my daughter. There weren't thousands, but what was there was really wonderful and affordable (they took our insurance). We had a terrible experience at Park Slope Eye (mostly the exam, but the prices of the glasses were shocking). I hope you find something nice.

  We just brought our 10-year-old daughter to Park Slope Optical because they take our insurance (Health Plus). I looked them up online and saw one good recommendation after another, so we went... Delighted!!! They gave our daughter a good and thorough eye exam and treated her as though she were special. She was comfortable right away due to their great sense of humor. They had really cool styles for kids, and as far as I can tell, not expensive. We were so pleased we referred them to parents of another child, and they were equally dighted.
