Pediatric Ophthalmologist & Orthopedic recommendations
My son got glasses back in Nov (at age 4) and we saw Dr. Arthur at Park Slope Eye Care Associates (which is actually in Prospect Heights, not Park Slope). As far as I've been able to tell, she's pretty much the go-to in the area! Everyone we know whose kids have glasses seem to go to her. The practice is a bit of a hike and it's a loooooooong appointment — they tend to run late (our friends have confirmed this, not just me, unfortunately!), and then the eye dilation process, etc. — so reserve a few hours of your day for it, but IMO it's worth it because Dr. Arthur is so thorough and so great with kids. She has all the tools and tricks to make them comfortable and even makes the process fun. Amazing attention to detail and level of care/thoughtfulness.
