  • Review from the Spring 2022 Birthing Survey

Park Slope Family Wellness - pediatric chiropractor. So helpful for our baby who was high needs and took many, many weeks to "settle" after being born. He really benefitted from 2x/week chiropractor in getting his nervous system in check, this made a big difference for him/us.
  • [January2018Babies] Accupuncture Rec?

I have been seeing a chiropractor Dr. Auerbach for general aches and pains related to pregnancy and she has been really great, she specializes in that and also is known for the Webster technique for breech babies. She is near union on 6th ave.
  • Review for Dr. Andrea Auerbach

I made an appointment with Dr. Auerbach in hopes of flipping my breech baby at 35 weeks via Webster Technique. In the days between making my appointment and getting to the office, I developed an excruciating pain in my neck that left me nearly immobilized, unable to sleep through the night and barely able to function at all. When I went in for my appointment, Dr. Auerbach was able to do my preliminary evaluation, which now focused way more on my neck than my baby, and get some adjustments started. Over the next 5 days I saw Dr. Auerbach daily (except Friday, when the office is closed) and increased mobility and decreased pain at each visit. Within 5 visits over 6 days I was not only able to sleep through the night, but regained 90% mobility in my neck and enjoy my baby shower. All of this without any drugs. Over the past weeks that I've seen Dr. Auerbach, her waiting room has been stuffed with women in varying stages of Pregnancy and Post-Natal recovery, babies, children and teens all singing her praises. I've also heard many success stories of breech babies flipping vertex from her work. She and the office staff are very caring and friendly and they have done a wonderful job to create a supportive community for their patients. I highly recommend a visit!!
  • Re: ISO chiropractor recommendation

I've had good experiences with Dr. Andrea Auerbach, located in North Slope. She has done wonders to help my aching back and even adjusts my 3 year old and 4 month old. After our first visit, Dr. Auerbach called to check in on how we were feeling. She is gifted at what she does and has a great bedside manner. The office environment is also very welcoming.

I can highly recommend Dr. Andrea Auerbach, chiropractor, and giver of Park Slope Parents discount. She's on 6th Avenue in the North Slope and has a particular certification in pediatric chiropractic. 718-399-1111. I've been taking my three year old and my infant to her for the last 3 months (and seeing her myself) and it's making a huge difference. My daughter often complains of leg pain and every time she does, Dr. Auerbach reports something going on with her hip. That can't be a coincidence. Though she makes her injuries into catastrophies since her brother was born, she's believable about the leg pain and I think it's misalignments in her spine. My baby son is being treated for nursing issues; he's got a head tilt that makes nursing challenging some times. His baby acne cleared up in a day after several adjustments in a row. Lots of kids go there and there are toys to play with, and Dr. A. is great with kids.

I recently started going to Andrea Auerbach on 6th Avenue and Union Street (718-399-1111) and she has been great so far! I had a person I really like in Manhattan, but after my daughter was born I just wasn't finding the time to get there and my back was in bad shape. I finally had to look local. A couple of people recommended Dr. Auerbach to me. When I finally called to make an appointment I was trying to find a time when my husband could stay with my daughter and her receptionist said, "Bring your daughter along. I hold the babies" That she did! Both Dr. Auerbach and her receptionist Ingrid (who successfully kept my daughter happy while I was getting adjusted) are great.

I would advise against going to chiropractor Andrea Auerbach - I mention this only because her name was brought up on the list. I had a very, very bad experience with her and would advise anyone with a back injury to get evaluated by a proper medical doctor.

I did see Andrea Auerbach, a chiropractor here in park slope, and she was able to turn the baby around through the webster technique. (Recommended October, 2010).
