IVF in 40s, donor eggs etc
If you decide to attempt one more time to retrieve your own eggs, or decide to pursue donor eggs now, I wholeheartedly 2nd K.'s recommendation for Pak Chung at Weill Cornell. He was my RE (and came highly recommended by 2 close friends of mine whom also adored him & had success), and after years and years of being unable to conceive, he helped us become and then complete our family. After PGS, we only had 2 viable embryos; those are my 2 sons. He is precise, methodical, honest and compassionate. He is so effective at what he does that he has an extensive international client base based on word of mouth. WC also added a Brooklyn office for daily monitoring, which was fantastic.IVF in 40s, donor eggs etc
I also highly recommend Dr Pak.IVF in 40s, donor eggs etc
I was one step away from transitioning to donor eggs after the eggs I froze at 40 did not make it through the thaw. My Doctor at NYU suggested I not waste time and move to donor eggs. It made perfect sense to me as at this point, I was approaching 45. I was very open to donor eggs- my goal was to be a mom. How my baby came to me was not what was most important to me. Just before starting the donor program, a friend suggested I have a consultation with Dr. Pak Chung at Weill Cornell/ NY Presbyterian. Long story short, at 45 I was able to retrieve my own eggs, had a successful embryo insertion and will be giving birth in about 2 weeks. If you’re feeling open to visiting one more doctor, consider Dr. Chung: (646) 962-3838.Re: [ANONYMOUS] Need fertility specialist for 2nd opinion
For a fertility doctor, I strongly recommend Dr. Pak Chung at Weill Cornell. Top fertility practice in the city and possibly the country and his bedside manner is amazing- I have never had a doc spend so much time talking with me. All fertility centers are profit centers, but there is a huge difference between using an academic center vs a pure profit one, where scientific and ethical standards are likely to be lower and you could get taken advantage of. A friend had a great experience with Kofinas and Cornell has its downsides (big practice and that waiting room... Someone needs to write a novel about it.) But I am also a multiple miscarriage/mthfr case, Dr. Chung went the extra mile for me, and things are going well now. Good luck and anonymous hugs-- I have been there. (Reviewed March 2015)
