Therapist that meets with parents only
Hi NYU has an extensive intake process. They then assign therapists based on diagnosis. We have a separate psychiatrist and a therapist for each of the kids. The therapists run the family meetings. Additionally they bring in other specialists as needed - from NYU but also Weill-Cornell, Columbia and even other states. We've been very happy with the level of care there after having wasted time and money on multiple practices in Brooklyn.Therapist that meets with parents only
We go to NYU. Kids have therapists and their therapists conduct family sessions with all of us. That way the various dots are connected.[ANONYMOUS] 20-something cousin severely depressed, need psychiatrist ASAP
If you can go outside of Brooklyn NYU Langone Psychiatry Associates has numerous practitioners and also an inpatient treatment facility if that becomes necessary. If cost is an issue you can call and ask about their residents clinic, which has lower fees (because the doctor is a resident still in training and under supervision).
