Re: Best ER & Urgent Carewe just did a pediatric ER stint into a hospitalization. We tend to do either new NYU on atlantic Avenue in Cobble Hill which is a gorgeous, new facility or Cornell lower Manhattan right across the BK bridge on Williams st. Both have dedicated pediatric ERs that are great. Triage is fast, efficient, and effective. The only downside is that both require transfers if your child needs to be hospitalized. They coordinate all of it, it’s just an additional step because they don’t have a pediatric unit.

Shout-out to NYU ER in Cobble HillYesterday my kid broke her arm at JJ Byrne. I took her to the NYU ER on Atlantic, and they were great. She was evaluated immediately, and had X-rays, meds, a consult, and was transferred to Manhattan in just under 4 hours. They were clearly well-stocked for peds too. Everyone was helpful and incredibly patient, including the X-ray techs (who were not peds specialists -- the Brooklyn tech was amazing with her). Manhattan had a peds Ortho in the building, even though it was 11pm on a Sunday, so they were able to cast her and send us home that night.
