Seeking male therapist for 10-year-old son
My son sees Neil Weintraub in park slope - it took me a while back and forth before I bit the bullet. It’s not cheap and he doesn’t do insurance. He’s been a fantastic resource for me as a parent and my son really likes him. My son also has anxiety (and anger ) issues, and is making slow but steady progress with Neil. He does have a bit of a waiting list - he’s the go-to of 321 and 261 parents who tend to be able to afford more so it seems like he’s always booked. But he also had connections to others while we were waiting to see him.Seeking male therapist for 10-year-old son
My son saw him for anxiety and he was excellent. They sometimes played Pokémon and Magic cards during sessions while talking. I don’t think he takes insurance though (at least not ours). We did not end up staying long by his recommendation, but my son enjoyed going. He’s been recommended by others on PSP as well. He’s on 6th Avenue in Center Slope.2018 Review
My tween daughter has been seeing Neil for almost two years now and I cannot say enough about how incredibly helpful he has been. As we speak, my daughter is struggling at camp and Neil takes time out of his busy summer schedule as a camp counselor himself to speak to me, my daughter’s counselor at camp and to my daughter. He takes time to speak to me personally about my daughter’s progress with great consideration to her privacy and their confidence. My daughter feels comfortable with Neil and can speak freely with him.
