    REVIEW: We're so thrilled to be part of the Natalie's Sunflower family. Our daughter C got in off the waitlist for 3K. The first ~6 weeks were tough, as she was one of a few new kids (most of the 3K class feeds in from their 2s program). The head teacher Ms. Myla was extremely patient with her, attuning very quickly to her needs/strengths/learning styles, and making her feel special and loved and part of the group. The result was that C bonded beautifully with her classmates, and is now so close to all of them. Ms. Myla and all the teachers at Sunflower are exceptional when it comes to working with this age group on social emotional development. It shows in the language and strategies that our daughter brings up at home/on playdates around problem-solving and difficult emotions. All teachers are creative about programming, and coming up with unique and challenging activities to engage the kids. The format of the day is very play-based, but everything from the crafting to the books they read to the group games to the dance/music enrichment has a montessori/learn-through-play vibe. Some of the teachers have a personal interest in STEM and find unique and age-appropriate ways to integrate that. All in all, this is a great spot and I highly recommend. Will send our next kid here for sure (starting in the 2s program).; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals; What would you change? This is more of a coincidence than within the program's control, but there was some teacher turnover this year that caused rocky periods.

    REVIEW: My son attended the 3K program at Natalie's Sunflower after going to Sunflower Daycare on 8th ave since he was 9 months old. We have had a wonderful experience. All of the teachers are caring and attentive - Miss Myla, the head teacher, is fantastic! The kids have a great combination of direct education, free play, art and time outside.; Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals;

    Review: Our kid loved it as a daycare and as 3K (she did both) and we were amazed at how much she learned in 3K. The teachers are extremely caring and loving. The space is small but well-used and they accommodate scooters and bikes, celebrate everyone’s birthday and have lots of special fun days, and have nap time even in 3K (thank goodness). They use the HiMama app to share pictures and video clips. Amenities: Has outdoor space, Has after-school options, Has early morning hours, Provides meals What would you change about the program, if anything, and why? Parent communication are not the most robust - sometimes we found out something important just mentioned at pick-up time, say, instead of communicated by email, in advance, etc, in a way that made us worry that we might be missing things if we happened to be out that day etc. - so I’d make that aspect more reliable. It never actually proved to be a big problem but it was sometimes worrying.
