I came to the practice when looking for a provider while pregnant. I received great prenatal care, with low intervention (a breath of fresh air after the constant monitoring of fertility treatments) and a more natural approach (e.g. suggesting homeopathic remedies to induce labor). There are five midwives and of course you connect personality-wise to some people more than others. Beth and Shara put me at ease, and I was lucky to have them deliver my baby (through one of their shifts and into the other) in what was a long and difficult birth. The only downside of this practice is that they deliver at Brooklyn Hospital Center. While a perfectly fine hospital, it lacks the amenities of others. And at the time I was there, they lacked a lactation consultant. We also felt that much of the staff was unfamiliar with having two new moms, and as a result reactions went from unguarded surprise to low-key homophobia. But! All in all, the midwives are fabulous, and our baby is healthy and wonderful. I highly recommend this practice and our experience.
