  • Pediatric dental question

We’d been to a few places but a friend recommended Happy KiDDS and have been going there ever since- for 3 years. Seems like they are honest and experienced and practice evidence based dental care.
  • pediatric dentist?

We go to Happy Kidds and love them. My kid just got a cavity filled and it went great.
  • Pediatrics dentist recommendations in Park Slope

If you need all the bells and whistles for a small child who won’t sit still then Dr. Mindy’s practice has TVs mounted in every room.
  • ISO Uber-kind dentists/doctors, etc

Dr. Mindy at Happy KIDDS Pediatric Dentistry in Carroll Gardens is the best doctor experience we’ve had. They are beyond nice and thorough to the point where I’m learning things I wish my pediatrician would have flagged (e.g. ENT related items). Our first trip was a knocked out tooth at 16 months and she really helped us through and otherwise scary moment.
  • Pediatric Dentist - north slope or prospect heights

I did a lot of looking for kid-friendly dentists, and finally settled on Happy KiDDS. It’s a little outside of your suggested area and located a 5min walk from the Carroll St station in Cobble Hill. We’ve been twice. The office is very kid friendly. The rooms are bright and have a jungle theme with two screens playing a kid’s show above and in front of the chair, and there are some old toys in the waiting room. I’ve found the dentist and hygienists to be very friendly and kid-friendly too. The kids also get a small prize/trinket at the end of the visit. To me, the short commute on the F/G has been well worth it. Side note, there is a playground right across from the Carroll St subway station and it’s a 7min walk to the playground at Smith/9th that’s good for burning extra energy/calming nerves/rewards. I’ve not had any problems with extra charges/using our insurance. https://yelp.to/qTKq/lLOugVLFxU

  • 2018 Review

We recently saw Dr. Mindy at Happy KiDDS in Carroll Gardens for our daughter's first appointment and had a great experience. Considering how hard it is to brush my own kid's teeth, I was very curious to see how dentists wrangle squirmy and resistant two year olds, and was pretty blown away! Dr. Mindy was incredibly friendly and efficient with the actual exam, but never made us feel the least bit rushed (which I always appreciate). She gave us a lot of helpful tips on dental heath, and answered questions about toothpaste, pacifiers, etc. The free sunglasses and stickers were also a big hit, of course...

  • [Summer2016Babies] local pediatric dentist?

We take both kids of our kids to Happy Kidds Pediatric Dentistry in Carroll Gardens and we really like it. My nearly 4.5yo son even needed a tooth pulled due to an injury and it was surprisingly basically a nonevent from his perspective, they handled it so well.
  • Re: [PSP] ISO: pediatric dentist

We've had a very good experience with Happy KIDDS Pediatric Dentistry. Our son, who is 5, *loves* going to the dentist. Not even two fillings could dent his feelings of good will toward this place. The dentists--Dr. Mindy & Dr. Raha—are really sweet and friendly with kids, and the place is set up to be welcoming and fun. (For example, there's a well stocked small-toy chest where each kid can pick a toy after her/his visit, and there are TVs with cartoons in the ceiling, for when a kid has to spend some time looking up during dental work.) They are in Carroll Gardens on 2d Place (for us, an easy F train ride from the 9th street stop). There is one "con" though: They don't take any insurance plans. So there's an added expense. We think it's worth it, but it's important to mention.

Dr. Mindy and co typically put through their bill directly to your insurance company if you have dental insurance. They don't "take insurance" in the sense that they don't negotiate rates directly with insurance companies, but they have always submitted the forms for reimbursement on our behalf and we've only had to pay for what our insurance doesn't cover. For basic preventative cleanings twice a year, their rates have always been fully covered. So they're sort of a hybrid between insurance and non-insurance and are very helpful with paperwork. We took our 3 year old daughter to Dr. Mindy a few months ago and had a great experience. She's great with kids and came across as very level-headed, offering what I'd call realistic guidance. Highly recommend. We'll be going back for another check-up in June. (April 2012)
