Review from the Spring 2023 Birthing Survey
What month and year was your child born? march Review: Very nice but appointments were sometimes rushed and lab results weren’t always immediately followed upReview from the Spring 2023 Birthing Survey
What month and year was your child born? October 2022 Review: Dr. haughton was nice but never felt like I developed a strong relationship with her. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that I was so close with my fertility clinic that I never felt as connected there.Review from the Spring 2023 Birthing Survey
What month and year was your child born? September 2022 Review: I had to switch doctors when I was about 34 weeks pregnant because we moved to Brooklyn. Many doctors would not work with me that late in my pregnancy. (Note: I did call a a month or two before our move to line up a doctor! Some places are full though and don't accept new pregnant patients after a certain week.) Anyway, I could not have landed with a better doctor or with better care. Dr. Michele Haughton is amazing and treated me as if she'd seen me since day one! Her office is far from where I live (Upper East Side), but she's such a fabulous OB-GYN that I made the trek from Brooklyn to her office and it was so worth it -- she's so thorough, understanding and answered all my questions! I didn't get to know all the other doctors at the practice (https://weillcornell.org/obstetrics-and-gynecology-80th-street), but Dr. Steven Hockstein was who ended up delivering my baby and he was great, too. (I also researched most of the other doctors at the practice and they all seemed really good. I liked that there were multiple good doctors that delivered so you weren't just relying on one person to deliver your baby in case your doctor was caught up at the time of your delivery.) I highly highly recommend Dr. Haughton! Bonus: This practice delivers at Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns which I thought was an incredible (very new and clean) hospital. It had private birthing rooms (without an extra charge) and it was what I wanted for my birthing experience. Note: I delivered my first baby in San Francisco and Alexandra Cohen Hospital reminded me of my experience in CPMC Van Ness is SF.Review from the 2021 Birthing Experience Survey
Dr. Haughton has been fantastic, and I interacted with most of the other OBs associated with her practice when I had the baby, and they were all wonderful as well, so I think you can't go wrong with the practice in general.Dr. Jacquelyn McConville or Dr. Laura Riley
I’ve seen Dr Sidney Wu for years, who is at Weill Cornell, and she’s great — thorough, knowledgeable, approachable. I delivered with Dr Haughton in her practice who was also fantastic, and I’ve heard good things about others in their group.
