  • Help - 9 y.o. brithday party ideas for end January!

Also check out Melody Lanes in Sunset Park.
  • Bowling and/or arcade?

Melody Lanes should satisfy both desires.
  • Bowling and/or arcade?

Melody Lanes! We've always gone for bowling but they have games, too.

Food was supplied by venue. Not healthy but kids were happy.
  • Review from Kids Birthday and Bar/Bat Mitzvah Party Survey - 2016

Age of child: 7 Melody Lanes: organizing the party was more challenging, they are harder to communicate with and require in-person party deposit (which is only $25). The party itself was great, though, the kids had a great time and our expectations (albeit not super high) were met.
  • Review from Kids Birthday and Bar/Bat Mitzvah Party Survey - 2016

Age of child: 6 Venue Review: The kids eventually had fun, but it was stressful for me. It took them a while to set up our lanes, the party coordinator didn't help much, I had to remember to ask them to bring out the individual pizzas included in the price, and to ask for more pitchers of water. You're pretty much on your own there.
  • Advice: 6 Year Old Birthday

Bowling parties at Melody Lanes are always a hit. (Reviewed Jan 2015)

We've been to a few fun parties at Melody Lanes -- but for 4, 5, 6 year olds. I think 3 is too young. August 2012

We recently had our twin boys 8YO birthday party at Melody Lanes and everybody had a blast. My boys are avid bowlers and it was the easiest birthday party for me to pull off. The minimum reservation is for 12 kids, and you have an option of pizza and drink (if I remember correctly it as $22 per kid) or hamburger/hotdogs and a drink ($24 per kid) and you get a total of two hours to bowl, which allowed for two rounds. They also give you a big batch of balloons and if you'd like, they turn on the glow-in-the-dark lights, which my kids love. You bring your own cake/cupcakes etc. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All and all, a great experience. (Feb 2012)
  • 2012 Birthday Party Survey

LIKES: The staff was helpful and friendly. My son's birthday is in January and having 12 boys inside can be quite challenging. The bowling alley allowed them to get a lot of physical activity and they all had a great time. What you'd change: Do you recommend (High Rec, Rec, Rec w/ Reservations, Do Not Rec)? Recommend
